Every time we visit NY we tend to try out a different hotel. We liked Park Lane so much that next time we come back we will definitely use it again.
On most days not all of the elevators were working so this could cause a wait.
The location
The elevators. Most were not working and the wait could be as long as 15 minutes!!
Location, Staff, Cleanliness
Outdated Interior/ old sad colorslots of wear & tear, Bed seemed improvised (the Mattress was on some kind of pedestal, which was bigger so we could see the srews all around, the chair at the desk area was too low, so I could not use it to work on my laptop, the blinds did not work at all and curtains completely see-through, so we were waking up early.
Location is good
Unfortunately, staying at this hotel was a terrible experience for the following reasons:
1. The air conditioner was extremely noisy. I couldn’t sleep at night because it sounded like construction work was happening in the room next door, with people drilling into the walls.
2. The bathroom exhaust fan wasn’t working. Because of that, the entire bathroom became soaked with condensation after every shower. The bathroom is very small, so the steam builds up quickly, making it feel like you need another shower as soon as you finish. Overall, taking a shower was a frustrating experience.
3. I paid extra for a room with a Central Park view, expecting to enjoy the scenery. However, as you can see from the photos, the window was so dirty that it ruined the view. On top of that, the window wouldn’t even open fully, making it impossible to properly enjoy the park.
4. The staff felt quite dishonest. Since this is an expensive hotel, I didn’t pay attention to whether breakfast was included in my reservation. I simply asked the staff where breakfast was served, and they directed me to the terrace. Nobody there informed me that breakfast was not included or that it came at an additional cost. I had breakfast, and at check-in I was specifically told that I had nothing else to pay and that my deposit would be refunded. In the end, they kept my deposit, charged me even more, and then informed me that breakfast had cost $170. 🤦🏼
P.s. Unfortunately, I can’t upload the video here to show you just how loud the air conditioner is. If I could, you’d immediately understand what I mean.
Splendida posizione
Location
Overpriced
Great location.
Very dated and wish they gave you slippers in the room as the carpet felt like you didn’t want to have bare feet. We had to move rooms as housekeeping left old food in the original room. Everything just felt a bit dated and needed a refresh.
Emplacement et la vue
Serviettes sales mais chargées à la demande et clim pas efficace et qui mouillait la moquette
