Great service and property. Please dine in the hotel's "soul & spice" restaurant.
Great service and food of the highest calibre.
The restaurant manager and staff are kind and ready to assist the customer at all times. Every visitor is given personalised attention by Mr. Balbant Singh, and the best thing is that if you simply mention the kind of dish you'd like, he will immediately provide you options for taste and texture so you may receive exactly what you want.
The entire crew is disciplined and well-coordinated.
I had a very pleasant stay at JW Marriott. Whatever you need just call reception and ask for Mr. Abanoub. Everyone is so kind and helpful that you do not feel you are in a stranger place.
Additionally, although I was staying in a smoking room, there was literally no smell either in corridors or the room itself.
I highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel has a good location and good security but definitely below JW standards need renovation and some color staff is caring and attentive hotel offer a good breakfast decoration of the room quite dull did not feel comfortable.
Stayed for 4 days during the new year. Even though my trip was business, the hotel offer entertainment event. I love the location of the hotel. The hotel is attached to a mall and excellent location. The staff is friendly. Wedding and business events at the hotel are common, but was not an issue except for parking. The hotel offer free valet service, during wedding or business event at the hotel, it can be very busy. I highly recommend the hotel.
Loved it. The executive lounge was amazing. Management even handled a crazy unstable guest quite well after he called security on himself.
I have been coming to this hotel on and off for many years now. It is an old building that has multiple issues, starting from hot and cold water. During my ten days stay, engineering’s had to come to my room four times, as I either was not getting hot water to shower, or my cold water, suddenly will be boiling hot. The interruption and invasion of privacy in my room was really disruptive and annoying, on the the rooms are small. I had booked on hotel.com a room for 450 square feet as advertised, I got a room that was hardly 250 square feet may be. The food is not good so you better go out to eat...but I must say in the staff there are many kindness , and few who go out of their ways to please you. I do not know if it is a management flaw or ownership ....
I recently attended an expensive paid conference here and the staff phone use is OUT OF CONTROL!
On MANY occasions, as I and several others attempted to get the attention of staff, they DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE we were calling them. This was a constant theme throughout the day. Total disregard for the needs of guests.
After 10 minutes of trying to get their attention (on several occasions), we literally got up from our seat and walked over to THEM! Not how it is supposed to work in the 'service' industry! The Indian staff were CONSTANTLY glued to their phones. They could not notice us since there heads were down looking at their phone screens. To make matters worse we had to walk over to them and tell them to STOP TALKING LOUD as there was a guest speaker talking! Could not even concentrate on what we all went there for in the first place!
As a Marriott Bonvoy member, I am definitely addressing this with the US corporate office.
Staff should not be allowed to use their phone while in front of guests to just surf the net and whatsapp chat with friends!
Totally unacceptable for a hotel of this level.
very nice hotel
Brilliant staff and one of the best check in experiences I’ve had for a while. So efficient and they offered local coffee and dates while I checked in. Slightly older hotel but room was more than adequate and breakfast was beautiful. It is also connected to a high end mall which will appeal to some.
This is a good hotel for business trips to Kuwait. Check in and out were quick and efficient. The rooms are a reasonable size and comfortable. The bed is very comfortable. There's a small gym. The staff are very helpful, especially Cameron and the others in the breakfast restaurant off the lobby.
First time to Kuwait. This hotel has been around for a while and was the Meridien before. Pretty dated setup but excellent service culture throughout. Japanese restaurant was good. Only complaint was Housekeeping was a little slow, didn’t get round to it till after lunch. Otherwise, enjoyable stay.
JW MARRIOTT Kuwait is a haven of peace.
In the centre of Kuwait city, the hotel is a few minutes by car from the airport.
Beautiful lobby. The rooms are spacious, quiet and pleasant. High-speed Wi Fi. The Club Lounge offers an unparalleled level of service in Kuwait.
The whole team is at your disposal.
The catering is incredible and the Japanese restaurant is of a very high standard. It is a wonderful hotel and one of the best addresses in the world.
We held a business meeting here. Very easy to set this up. Great rooms, clean, large, and nice views. Good meeting rooms with excellent AV equipment. The staff is very accommodating. They have a shuttle to the airport. Adjacent to an overpriced mall. Good internet connection. Excellent breakfast buffet. Recommended.
This hotel appears to have been in the city for a while. With that being said, it is still a very nice place to stay. My room was large and comfortable, I got a good nights sleep each night on the bed. The executive lounge is large, and the food offerings are very good. The staff in the lounge are efficient, and the chefs there took pride in their presentations, they also were quite friendly. The staff in the breakfast restaurant were equally as effective and provided great service.
The gym was a tad cramped, and the equipment getting old. I was still able to get a decent workout in, but some updating is due. The pool area was nice, and there was even an area to go outside and get some sun if you wanted to brave the heat.
All in all I was a satisfied guest, I will stay there again when I go back.
Excellent service, the food was gorgeous!! I love that hotel and I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Kuwait!
Very dated hotel, bathroom fixtures were all the old glitzy gold type which would be ok if they worked properly and weren’t all clogged with calcium.
I got upgraded to the suite so plenty of space and bed was nice and comfy too. Housekeeping was fine but the room closet was the old dated style. I’m splitting hairs here btw but for the money of 75kwd a night one would expect the hotel to keep up with latest times and trends
The hotel is conveniently located to several famous landmarks of Kuwait like Kuwait Towers & Kuwait Grand Mosque. Very near to the beach and within walking distance if you want to walk. Staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Stayed at most chain hotels in Kuwait but this surely is the best place to stay for a business traveler.
This was probably my fourth stay here and it certainly exceeds expectations. From the bell service to the room service all the staff is extremely courteous. For those who I interacted with on my previous stays acknowledged and welcomed me back which I think is an amazing gesture unlike most hotels receptions look at you and then greet you once the system prompts them for a repeat guest.
I’m sure this will be one of my first options for accommodation in Kuwait every-time.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. In particular the driver Salim who took me to the airport was friendly, informative, and engaging. The hotel made every effort to accommodate and graciously host me
I just spent 7 days here with My husband's Mr. Nasser Darwish , on Suit # 1414 under my name Ms. Zahra and I travel a lot for work This is the first hotel I've stayed at in years that is so enjoyable it makes you want to return specifically to this property. First of all, the hotel shuttle through Prestige had easy-to-identify staff in national dress with Hotel name’s , so they stood out amongst the throngs of solicitors outside the Cancun airport trying to offer rides. The Prestige rep had my name on a typed list, gave me a receipt, and it was billed directly to my room - easy. The registration staff was above and beyond - moving us to a better room, taking the luggage up for us, offering to fill the ice bucket, asking, "What else can I do for you?" The room was spectacular, with a nice outstanding views.
This hotel has many features that distinguish it from other distinguished staff who have seen real show always smile on their faces. Quiet and good reception & they have a really distinct and pervasive employee, for example:-
Mr . Ayatalah – Executive Director Administrative Service
Mr. Abunab – Front Office Manager
Mr. Cameron and Mr. Mohd Ali “ Egyptian” on restaurant during the B/F
Ms. Laxmi Lama - Housekeeping Staff she’s the best
Ms. Lalita , Mr. Sagar Gautam , Mr. Bala Ram Sitaule and Ms. Marry on the VIP area the service us And they treated us like special guests.
Because is JW Marriott Hotel – Kuwait considered one of the most prestigious and finest hotels I visited
The best parts of this hotel are the superb staff, the variety of restaurants, and the spectacular pool area,. Well done, Marriott.
