Very pleased with the service, professionalism and kindness of the staff at the OMNI Charlottesville. Mark the valet was very helpful and attentive to my needs. He totally went out of his way to assist me at my BGCA Virginia/DC conference. Hotel was very clean and the check-in was flawless. Banquet team was fantastic! The bartender Tuesday night was incredible. Well Done OMNI Staff!
We booked a one bedroom suite for $500. We received a text from the hotel asking if we had any special requests and we requested a 1 pm check in. They said they couldn't guarantee it. We arrived at 1:20 pm and they said the room would be ready in 20 minutes so we waited in the lobby. It was "ready" in 50 minutes. The suite had no air conditioning and the curtains were closed, with the thermostat set to 69 degrees, but it was in the mid 80's. We requested a maintenance fix twice and it was finally fixed at 7pm. We were shocked that they would rent us a suite that needed that much work. Needless to say our romantic getaway was ruined. Management texted us asking how was our stay? We replied but never heard back from them. I cannot recommend this hotel. no body cares about your stay.
This was overall a very disappointing hotel experience. I would not stay at this hotel again and I would not recommend that others stay here. The staff was mildly friendly, but I certainly did not feel like they provided a good experience, they were so-so in their hospitality. The two biggest problems was that we didn't receive any housekeeping while we were there and they did not honor our late checkout as they had promised. I had to ask for housekeeping when we had not received it, which meant that we had to leave our room when we were planning to get ready for dinner. This made us late for our dinner reservations. Additionally, I had asked for an confirmed a late checkout when we checked into the hotel. Despite this, I received a call from the hotel while we were out on our vacation requesting that I check out of my room. This also meant that my room key could no longer give me access to the parking garage, so yet another inconvenience. All of this treatment led to the hotel experience feeling rushed and stressful, rather than a relaxing place to reset on vacation. I would certainly expect better service and experience from an Omni hotel, and I will likely not be staying at this property again.
Best service I've had at a hotel in a long time, perhaps ever. Everyone answered all queries with full info already in their arsenal, doing so quickly, friendly, and offering solutions beyond the original request repeatedly.
wi fi a pagamento. E' la prima volta che mi capita
It in a great area
No complaints about it
This hotel is a must stay when in the area. The staff here go above and beyond to make sure your stay is enjoyable. The rooms are also gorgeous, and they have fruit flavored water and iced tea in the lobby in the afternoons.
Unfortunately, the arrival process fell well below the level of service I would have expected.
At check-in, the initial front desk agent was unable to process my reservation after several minutes. I was then required to wait for another team member who was assisting a guest checking into three rooms. The delay was significant enough that the valet attendant intervened and offered a drink ticket as an apology — a thoughtful gesture on his part.
After eventually receiving a room key, I went upstairs to find the room occupied, with the doorstop in place. I attempted entry twice to confirm there was no mistake. When I returned to the desk, I learned that the same issue had just occurred with the party who checked in immediately before me.
What was most concerning was that, rather than promptly issuing a new room, the team chose to personally verify whether that room was occupied, requiring me to wait again in the lobby. Given that another guest had just experienced the identical issue, this additional step felt unnecessary and suggested a lack of trust in my report. That aspect of the interaction was particularly disappointing.
All in, it took me 45 mins from the time I arrived to actually get a room. This was around 7:30 in the evening.
Additionally, I understand as a Select Guest member, a complimentary welcome beverage is part of the check-in experience. The drink ticket from the valet appeared to serve as a service recovery gesture rather than recognition of this benefit, and I was not offered the standard welcome beverage separately.
I do want to recognize the valet attendant, who followed up the next day when he saw me in the restaurant to ask if my stay had improved, and another front desk team member, who inquired about the incident at checkout after I mentioned it. Their professionalism and sense of customer service stood out. It was really the only attempt at service recovery I experienced.
First impressions matter, and the arrival experience set the tone for the entire stay.
I shared this feedback with the hotel and thankfully got a nice apology email.
Excellent location, right on the pedestrianized "Downtown Mall" and about a 15-20 minute walk to UVA campus. Free self-parking in the two-level garage. Very nice bar/lounge area in a large atrium. Clean, comfortable - no complaints!
No serious complaints, we had a good stay. Would definitely return.
We loved this hotel, I took my husband away for some rest and relaxation. We thought the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The staff at check in were so sweet and accommodating. I asked to get checked in an hour early and our room was available!
I asked for a room with a beautiful view, it wasn’t great but I’m sure they did their best. I would have loved a room with the view of the downtown mall side or even overlooking the beautiful lobby and bar area.
We didn’t like that a can of soda was $5.
Went to get breakfast on 2nd day there…asked for a menu to get food because I really wanted the biscuit and gravy because we had the buffet day before (which was great) and our man waiter who is older and has a slight accent told me pretty much that they were busy in the kitchen so it might take a while to get so I might want to do the buffet instead so I opted out and did the buffet again and then noticed others ordered from kitchen & it came out fast. So that was disappointing.
The look and facilities were very nice and the staff was friendly. Lobby was nice and the food was good.
Needed a little more staff for the meals the employees were stretched a little thin. The shower door was very noisy when opening.
Location
The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. The bar area, room and fitness area were wonderful.
