The hotel was very central. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean
The staff were ok, some were not friendly. Rooms dated
Convenient location
Room a bit tired but hotel undergoing refurbishment
Great position and friendly staff. Breakfast is good as well.
Exorbitant price for a very small room with air-conditioning barely working, windows not opening, no mini fridge to have some cool water over night. The tiny fan provided was not enough. Shower leaking, soap dispenser broken, rusty window frames, so disappointed.
locatin
I stayed at this hotel on 24th June and again from 26th to 28th June. During my stay, the weather was extremely hot, yet the air conditioning in the room was not functioning properly. The hotel provided only a small fan, which was insufficient. Although I was given a 50% refund for the first night, the same issue persisted over the following two nights without any further compensation:(
Location
Noisy. Decor needs updating / touching up. Bed - pillows uncomfortable. Bathroom unappealing - mouldy sealant.
Location. Good breakfast
No air con. Very small rooms
The room was lovely and the staff incredibly nice and friendly. Excellent TV in the room.
The air con wasn't working. Great that a fan was sent to my room but it was still too warm. The wifi connection was very poor meaning that I needed to check out earlier than expected as I couldn't work.
Wow superb modern contempary hotel in heart of city Piccadilly gardens, very gppd service by all professional members of staff, room perfect ,modern, air con ,large bathroom and plenty of plug sockets for your electrical items, buffet breakfast was exceptional and plentiful, offer car parking there too if needed, definetly will only book this stylish hotel from now on when in manchester.
Midday checkout free uf you have booked through booking.com too instead of 11am .
Leqving so soon :(
I liked the fact the windows opened and how comfortable the bed was
The size kind of let it down as the one advertised looked a wee bit more roomy except from that was clean and well maintained
The Location
There was no air
The Murcure provided the perfect location for our stay, on arrival we were met with with lovely helpful staff who provided us a way to check in early free of charge by signing up to their members programme. the room was compact but had everything we needed, the shower was a little dated and could be updated, the pressure was immense though. the breakfast had good options and was really tasty, the view from the restaurant was great too. If only it was reasonably priced all year round, I wouldn't pay more per night than what I did.
Nothing!
The location was great, at the heart of Manchester City centre. The restaurant staff were lovely always greeted us with a smile and very happy to help.
1. When we checked in we were given a room on the 9th floor. We went to the 9th floor, it was hot as an oven. Our room, the same. The air conditioner was not working. This was in the middle of the heatwave. The room we booked listed air conditioner as a facility. We called down to the reception, the staff instead of saying she would send someone to check on the AC said she’d send up a fan. We said we don’t want a fan, we want the AC to be looked at and fixed. Someone came up even before he entered our room when he explained our AC wasn’t working he said it needs maintenance if you want AC your room needs to be changed. So the hotel was well aware that the AC on that floor wasn’t working but still checked us into that room. Shocking! We went down, asked for a room change, was given a room on the 8th floor where the AC was working. I’d very much like to know from the hotel management why we were given a room with a broken AC especially since other rooms were available.
2. The reception staff were always not very helpful. In fact, they didn’t seem like they wanted to help either. When we tried to pay for our extended stay, their entire computer system was down so she said she’d send didn’t know how much to charge me. When I showed her my booking.com booking with the charge, she called her manager and said that I was showing her a ‘random price on the phone’. Firstly I was showing her my booking.com confirmation. If she’s not familiar with those, she could have said that. Instead she made it seem like I was trying to con her with a random number on my phone? Disgraceful!
3. It took us 3 hours to get a change of towels. Not exaggerating it took us exactly 3 hours and a change of bins. 3 hours and 2 cleaners later…
4. All the staff apart from those who work in the restaurant were rude.
