Lovely overnight stay at a Marstons Inn en route to a social day out.
Pros:

Room was lovely, and was more than we expected at an Inn. Clean room and surroundings. Food was excellent - again given the context of an Inn stay. The mushroom risotto I had for dinner was superb.!
Staff were helpful cheerful and a joy to meet. We would definite stay at a Marstons Inn again.

Lovely staff, let down by hotel itself

Poo in toilet (that you could smell from door)
Accessible bathroom - all a bit old and rusty
Overall corners/skirtings etc were not the most clean
Bedding was clean and towels

Paid for breakfast - they were so busy we didn’t have time to have cooked breakfast (been there 30 mins and no one had time to serve our table) - staff were apologetic and friendly, felt bad for them.

Well located and clean.

Rooms were very nice. Room 4 was not accessible code didn’t work.
Room 3 had sand on the floor.

Pros:

We have been visiting Gamston Lock over the last couple of years and have seen the improvements in cleanliness and the breakfasts. Staff are always very helpful and it is the ideal location for our visits to various places.

Enjoyable, great location, good food, comfortable accomodation!
Pros:

Great location for the National Water-sport Centre just down the road!

Very friendly hardworking staff despite the venue being extremely busy on the evening we arrived due to an event at the National Water-sports Centre.

The staff were a credit to the business and should be recognised by Marston’s for their outstanding service to customers in challenging circumstances!

Stressful for me with tired and hungry athletes.

Good location for athletes of National Regata.

Cons:

You forgot to prepare single bed for my kid. I had to complain about that to staff member in Restaurant. We have beet tired after long journey. The bed was made during our prebooked dinner in Gamston Lock restaurant. Booking was for 8.00 pm. Waiting time for a meal was more then 60min.
