Very close to National Water Sports Centre, which is 5 minute drive. Good for a one night stay when competing in the Outlaw triathlon the following day.
TV didn’t work, Wi-Fi patchy, door handle to bathroom hanging off.

Convenient location
Our breakfast experience - it was “sold” as a place for relaxing - whoever thought it was appropriate to have a toddler’s group in the breakfast area is delusional

Not really a criticism but more a warning for those like me with mild (ish) mobility issues.
The rooms are in an annexe some way from the pub but the check in is in the pub.
The place basically has two linked car parks one for the pub the other for the rooms.
I will probably go again but this time will park as near as I can to the pub,check-in,then drive nearer to the rooms. They have ground floor rooms so if you struggle with steps worth asking for one.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. The bar was nice, and the food lovely. Staff were friendly and accommodating.
Nothing we didn’t like, could have done with a bit more coffee left in the room, but hey, first world problems!
