Great overnight stopover.

Cons:

We were initially placed in a room with broken air conditioning. During our stay, we learned that other families were experiencing the same problem. The reception staff were aware that some rooms had air-conditioning issues, but we were not informed before being assigned the room.
When we raised the issue, I felt that I had to push for the hotel to take responsibility, as the initial response seemed to be that we should simply tolerate the situation. As a result, we had to spend our first night in a room without air conditioning. We also discovered that the bed was worn out and that the bed base was heavily stained.
I submitted a written complaint on the first night, but the manager did not respond. The following day, another duty manager assisted us and moved us to a much better room, for which we were grateful.
The breakfast and dining area was sometimes dirty, and the sofa area appeared never to have been cleaned and was covered in large stains.
The patio outside the restaurant had several broken or loose tiles.
On the second day, we had to report that a tray of leftover food had been left outside a room since the morning and had not been collected all day. The bar staff eventually arranged for it to be removed. It was also common to see glasses left in the corridors for many hours before being collected.
The swimming pool was out of service for a couple of days, and the jacuzzi only worked on the first day of our stay.
The hotel claims to be a four-star property, but based on our experience, it did not meet the standards we would expect from a four-star hotel.

Okay hotel facilities crap reception don’t answer the phone poor customer service.
Pros:

Nice updated room

Cons:

Swimming pool out of use, the only reason I booked this hotel. No prior notice during booking.
Was left waiting 20 minutes to check in while 2 staff faffed around over one person and left me waiting so long I sat down while they moaned.

Perfect location will stay again
Pros:

Great location, love the little gym never used to pool but great that they have one to use

Cons:

The price of the food is a little more than I normally pay but there is a shop, take away and chip shop less than 5 minute walk away

Cons:

It felt dated. It didn’t help that we had stayed in a practically new holiday inn in Cambridge night before for less money. Myself and work colleague had worked Sat night and usually it’s possible to get a drink or 2 in bar when we return to holiday inn which is one reason I always pick it. But not here. I also filled out request for breakfast to room Sunday morning but even though form was collected from door. Breakfast never arrived.

Wouldn't stay here again
Pros:

The food in the hotel was lovely. Better than I expected

Cons:

I only booked this hotel for my 8 year old to use the pool to which when we arrived there was no access to due to maintenance. Also the location wasnt the best as there wasnt much around

Nothing for the kids to do could do with a park or play area for the kids. Wasn’t told the pool was closed on the day i arrived then got told it would be open the next day before we leave to be told again it’s closed

I really enjoyed my stay the room was functional and ideal for a short stay.
Pros:

It was ideally located in a reasonably quiet area. It was very clean, the staff were pleasant and the evening meal and breakfast was very good.

Cons:

I was awoken by “revellers” running through the corridors in the early hours and someone screaming and shouting at them.
