Excellent staff, great breakfast and comfortable rooms.
It was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast. Especially, the fried bread - a real treat.
Lovely friendly hotel. Great value for money and close to New Street station.
Clean room but smaller than usual here
Loved the contemporary design in lounge area at entrance to hotel and the bath/shower and hair products in my hotel bathroom. Towels and bed linen also very nice.
The bath room had a broken draw under the sink which could have fallen on my feet. Breakfast is good. £264 for 2 nights (Fri/Sat) is steep. I will look elsewhere next time. So many alternates within walking distanace.
The room was fine but the noise from the bathroom fan made it really hard to sleep. When I asked someone to come and turn it off they said they couldn’t. I was offered ear plugs. I don’t think I’ll be going back!
Bed was very comfortable and my one night stay was much needed and relaxing
Excellent location absolute 5* value for money
Warm welcome on arrival, early check in.staff extremely friendly and helpful, everyone looking happy on whatever roll they had
Our room perfect clean ,airey and well kept
I wouldn't stay anywhere else when in Birmingham.
I have travelled the world, USA, Australia, Canada, and around Europe,I was well impressed. Thank your staff from me
Room was nice and spacious, shower was a little tight for my partner (he is quite broad though Lol) and there was no bin in the bedroom although there was a little one in the bathroom. Outside of those factors... The room was lovely and clean... Staff even left a cute note on the desk for us : ) and were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again
Location was convenient situated near new street station. The Aircon was not working on one of the hottest day which was not very good. Requested a fan which was provided
Well impressed with all aspects of our trip. Wonderful location, very comfy room and very clean. Impressed with the cleaneness throughout the hotel, and the staff were so friendly. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice , and the whole area was kept very clean and tidy- omelette was delicious !! Will definatly stay again .
I booked this hotel for two nights when my son was competing near by. It said the room came with a fridge which was part of the reason for booking. On arrival we were told there was no fridge but we could have an ice bucket - disappointing. The room was very small and tired. The bathroom was old with black spots along the bath rim - just felt grubby. The coffee making was in the open single wardrobe so that your clothes hung over and on the kettle and cups. We tried to change rooms but none were available.
The staff were pleasant and breakfast was okay but the room was very disappointing.
Clean, tidy and neat room
Good price for breakfast
Parking is nearby and secured
Overall very good for a stay in the Birmingham city center and everything with a good price.
Excellent location near the station andceasy walk to city centre. Pleasant, helpful staff.
Original room hadn’t been cleaned but replacement found quickly. Room was lovely and spacious every amenity you could wish for. Bed was king sized very comfortable. Bathroom let down by dirty shower tray, empty showergel dispensers. Breakfast was very good.paid around £80 for room which is about right
The hotel stay started a little late due to late checkouts, and we were given a room with a bath for our first room after waiting nearly 2 extra hours on top of the 3pm check in time, we requested a walk in shower for our room, my brother and dad had one that they didn’t request, but we’re happy with, at least when I rang reception and told them we requested a walk in shower so then said to wait for a call they were going to call housekeeping to sort a room for us. Once we received that room we had a great stay, the breakfast was great, at least we had air conditioning in the room, we did have to evacuate due to a fire alarm went off, but apart from that we were fine.
The hotel was comfortable and clean, and the room was stylish.
The staff we interacted with were all polite and pleasant.
However, we would advise against using the “special deal” on car parking at the NCP behind the hotel. The ticket validation system is at best not very clear, and despite doing exactly what the receptionist told us to do, the exit machine wouldn’t accept that we had already paid and then promptly swallowed our ticket.
We went back to the hotel where the receptionist assured us that all we needed was the hotel validation ticket (which we already had) and just to “press the button” and ask the attendant for help if the same thing happened again.
Predictably the exit machine would not accept this ticket, there is no button to press and no attendant available to help. We had to spend ages in a queue on the phone to reach NCP “customer service” who then robotically repeated the line that if we didn’t have the original ticket we would have to pay again! Bearing in mind that it was their machine that had swallowed the ticket, this was absolutely infuriating.
An extra hour added on to our journey time plus an extra £30 and a lot of frustration!
PS The same thing happened to an older couple just ahead of us, so it feels like this is a problem that needs addressing if the hotel continues to offer its guests parking through NCP
Excellent location and big room.
