Bit dated
The art
The air conditioning turned off every hour or so and windows couldn’t be opened. Was horribly hot and kept getting up to turn aircon back on.
Also spa was too hot. And tiles were kinda gross.
I'm a regular yearly visitor of the qt staff are always friendly and helpful always polite

Great location - close to the waterfront and a short walk to the Basin Reserve
Bed was comfy and facilities were ok although the mirrored walls were a bit much. The bathroom felt a bit dated with the narrow shower over the bath. The glass door leaked every time it was used and created a puddle on the floor.
Lovely amazing staff. The hotel is really nice and such a great vibe. Super central. The room was great. The bed was amaaaazing. I have an amazing bed at home and this bed was am the best. Pillows 3 out of 5 still had a great sleep.
Two things that raise our brows, 1, there were three strands of human hair on the basin of the bathroom. All 3 different. It was an easy clean for us, but made us think that the cleaning was rushed. 2, the elevator smelt weird, like urine. We were only in the elevator for like 10 sec max. Just had to mention. We would have mentioned it to staff but we checked in late and departed 5am the following morning.
Location
We were seriously overpriced by booking.com where to our shock the stay cost us 3x the amount we had understood we would pay.
Central location
The property is tired and facilities like the gym and pool are pretty dusty and definitely require an upgrade
Fantastic Hotel! Very swank room, with art by Dside. Great views, great bar (serves food) great art, great location. Te Papa is directly across the street.
Paid $300 a night, however, which is pretty steep. Parking was NOT included. You can pay $50 a night for the hotel valet, or $30 a night to park in the Te Papa lot.
The service was fantastic, with one exception. Maybe the dude was having a bad day, but he was disinterested to the point of being rude.
Again - great bar.
Location
Shower in the bath - this is dangerous
View - looking at the back of a building
