Friendly staff
The airport shuttle was unreachable. The phone number did not work. I ended up getting a 24 dollar Uber to get a ride back to the hotel. So much for a free shuttle. It was super frustrating.
Didn’t use either. 85 yr old and 80 year old given rooms at end of hall. Carpeting made it so difficult to move suitcases. In my room bath faucet broken with no water coming out. Bathroom sink had cracked and glued together. Microwave made noise all night. Brother’s room bathtub drained slow all night. Even though rooms were paid for I still had to give a $50 security payment for both rooms. They advertised restaurant which was not open. Had to take a guess and order delivery from one of the few restaurants that would deliver. Cost $54.
Room had trash in bathroom and bedroom. Towels were dirty. I have pictures of the mess. Look like someone was using this room and no one knew in the building. I want my money back. I called the hotel and all they can say is sorry.
Good
It's really a rarity these days when you find somebody working a check-in of a hotel to go the extra mile for you. That happened for me yesterday and I want to tell you about it. When I checked into the Radisson hotel Detroit airport, it was early in the afternoon. My reservation wasn't quite there from orbits. However, the check-in person as well as the on duty manager took care of it to allow me to check in at a pretty early time and allow me to get on with my day
Property was in decent condition. Was extremely convenient location and shuttle was quick to pick up from airport. TV didn’t work but otherwise room was in decent condition and fairly clean
Hall carpets were stained..room carpet stained/burn mark shape of an iron.. frayed/torn sheet..
The front desk staff were very pleasant, quick and helpful. Even after they had just had to have the police on-site before we arrived around 10:30pm. But our room was completely disgusting and so nasty. There was hair on the table between beds and all over the tub and shower wall. obviously not ours. The bathroom sink faucet looked like no one had wiped it down in a couple weeks and the bed covers were super dingy. Just a super old hotel tjat needs a lot of work. Its got a perfect location but thats about all it has goijg for it.
Great value
Carpet needs to be updated in common areas. Curtains need to be reattached to the track in the rooms.
Phones in room not connected to anything..I guess just there for show...tv kept losing signal and not enough towels I'm room for 2 people..had to get extra and had to go get them, after calling on my cellphone...they did not bring them to us...bed so hard it made my hips hurt...not my choice for hotel, should have did what I wanted to do originally and stayed elsewhere
Clean room
Every
The hot water was not working the staff knew this but didn’t tell me upon checking in. I left upon being told the hot water would not be on until the next day so I checked out and was told I would get a full refund of which I’m still waiting for.
1. one out of the two lightbulbs were out.
2. No TV remote in room-had to go downstairs to get it.
3.Soap and coffee pan had no way to open them.
4. The first room we were assigned and paid $40 to get in early was not made up or cleaned. Had to ask for a different room.
I was placed in a room BEHIND the elevators. It was loud with noise from the elevators all night long. The refrigerator also rattled and hummed to an extreme loudness. The room also smelled like was just painted. When I requested to change rooms I was denied because they said I booked through a third party (Hotels.com). Although I paid for three nights I moved to another hotel for nights 2 and 3. I would like Hotels.com/Expedia to get me a refund.
Everything was good, but I reserved a king room and got a handicapped double bed room
There was not a hot tub when we stayed. Our room was clean.
Only had 1 room ready. Advertised breakfast and did not have any.
