Such a welcoming and hard working staff. They made us feel like we were in good hands. The best hotel experience I’ve ever had hands down from start to finish. Valet alone is a dream team that moves like a well oiled machine and quickly. Everyone was so nice and helpful. See you all next month this is the only place we will stay when we come to STL now.
Just a walking distance to the gateway arch, Very clean hotel, huge rooms, staff are very helpful, great food, Starbucks within the hotel, great bar brew house with delicious food.
Converted to Hyatt from Hilton a couple years ago and it is refreshing that two years in they still treat me phenomenally well. Overall experience at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch was top notch. As a globalist, I received an upgraded room and the staff was all super helpful.
This was a great hotel so close to the arch. The views from our room were amazing! I actually impressed my kids with this hotel!
We needed to stay a night in St. Louis and chose this hotel because of how close it is to the Arch - literally across the street from it. They allow dogs and being close the Arch was a great place for walking our lab. We used the valet and it was easy to drop off and pick up our truck. Easy and friendly check-in. Rooms were clean and quiet. Loved there was brewhouse onsite and found the food quite good. We would definitely stay here again when in the area again.
We stayed one night in St. Louis on our drive from Kansas City to Mississippi. I stayed here when it was the Adam's Mark and knew the location to be excellent. I wasn't disappointed this time either. We had a great river view and excellent food in the sports themed casual restaurant. Check and check-out was a breeze and the se-f-parking, $30, was reasonable. Suggestion, maybe a reduced parking rate for World of Hyatt members.
I loved how close we were to the arch and walking distance to the dome
Nothing
At the Arch, St. Louis. For the price, and the undeclared upcharge of $50 per day valet parking, go somewhere else unless the only reason you are there is for being at the Arch. Staff friendly but ineffective at communicating facts, truths, and do not provide Belfort information at all. Example, do you have a pool. No, but we have pool room on v the 4th floor. That pool room turned out to be a tournament that was temporary and not for the public. They don't have a pool room. No mention of parking unchanged despite several times requested clarification and rewritten trouble shooting to get our vehicle parked. Big last day surprise! Added $100 to tab. A big hotel where you need to be prepared to walk and walk for everything. Ice vending literally opposite side of hotel, maybe 700 to 1000 foot walk.
Downtown near arch
There was gams in st Louis that hat night and next day , so the property was bit of a circus..had to wait awhile for the valet to take the car which was the only parking option on weekend, and that was awkward trying to get all the bags out suddenly once it was our turn in the driveway. Then going up in elevator we got stuck for 15 minutes with a bunch of people from a wedding party, very crammed in that elevator.
Customer service was great with everyone I came across. Location is great for city activities and loved that it was right next to the Arch. Had a standard King room with a dog and it was ok for a short weekend stay, but lacks in some areas. Check-in is hectic if you bring a car because it doesn't matter if you're using valet or not, you have to pull into the gridlock just to drop your bags. Pretty typical for city locations I guess and the valet team hustled.
Bedding - feels like you're sleeping in a toddlers water proof bedding while potty training and just as noisy every time you move.
Mini fridge wasn't cold but wasn't worth reporting due to short stay.
Shower - I didn't need an accessible room, but the shower was terrible, even for someone with no mobility issues. You have to step UP into the shower. No handles to hold onto and no slip-safe material on the slippery shower floor so it was a fun game. Then, pray you don't forget to put a floor mat down like I did, because you're stepping down on a flooded tile floor because the glass door didn't latch so the water leaked out everywhere.
Dog experience -Every time I travel with dogs the hotel wants to know ahead of time - I assume to put dogs in specific rooms or perhaps to plan a room closer to the door. I called ahead and they refused to mark my reservation as such and insisted I just "tell them at check-in". I ended up on the 12th floor furthest from the elevator. This would typically be ok with a fully housebroken dog, but there is no where for them to relieve themselves directly outside the doors - you have to run across the street and hope you don't have to wait for a crosswalk signal. My dog made it outside but as soon as we hit the cool air, she had to relieve herself on the sidewalk.
Overall - just meh
Overall a very nice hotel with well trained, polite, and responsive staff. Our arch view room was huge with 2 sitting area and 2 vanity spaces. We definitely appreciated the extra space. Beds were comfortable, towels soft, and everything was in good condition. The room would be hard to beat at any hotel.
2 Cons:
We regularly stay in the area, other hotels at that price point offer some more perks- free breakfast, pool, or even dinner. With kids, we typically pick hotels that include breakfast for the ease. Breakfast here was $25/person I believe.
Picking up a car from valet and check out is a 60-120 min ordeal on busy weekends so plan ahead. For afternoon games, they will tell you can leave your car and pick it up after, what they didn't tell us was that they would charge us 1/2 for anything after 4 PM. The cards game ended at 4:15 and we were back to pick up our cars right at 5 and forced to pay extra.
The hotel is close to everything! I would stay here again to sight see. I was in town for a concert. Great selection of restaurants inside the hotel and surrounding areas.
Great location to arch . Very busy hotel . Rooms adequate and clean . Disliked getting out of garage. Valet parked cars in exit aisle.
