Very nice hotel with friendly staff (unfortunately, with exceptions). Georgina and Osman were especially kind and helpful. Also, the guy at breakfast with glasses (I didn’t get his name) who took the omelette and porridge orders was very kind and attentive. The cleaning staff were also friendly. Amazing breakfast with big variety. Would recommend!

Cons:

The jacuzzi was not working. Also, my boyfriend arrived before me and couldn’t check in until I came, even though I had sent an email in advance. They did give us a free drinks voucher, which was nice, but when we tried to use it for cocktails, the bartender said it wasn’t allowed, which was confusing..

Location. Value for money. Breakfast buffet quite good

Cons:

Our room was over the entrance. Noisy. Very tiny bathroom. Very narrow twin beds ( usually zipped for a double).

I was very disappointed with my recent stay. The room was dusty, which immediately gave a poor first impression.

The sauna and jacuzzi were not working, which was frustrating as these were facilities I was looking forward to using. There were also no robes provided in the room, which is something I would normally expect.

Another issue was the room phone—it didn’t connect directly to reception. I had to call the hotel using an external number, was left on hold for at least 5 minutes, and still received no answer. In the end, I had to go downstairs myself just to get a drink and snacks.

I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn hotels both in the UK and abroad many times, and this has always been my go-to option. Unfortunately, this experience was far below the standard I’ve come to expect.

When I raised these issues with the manager, he didn’t seem particularly concerned, which made the situation even more disappointing.

Overall, not the level of service or quality I would expect.

Pros:

Location excellent. Close to the tube station. The swimming pool and sauna are great, very clean. (Steam and jacuzzi were unfortunate out of order). Breakfast has a huge variety of things. All nice and fresh.

Cons:

The doors don't have the silence bracket when closing and people think they have so all you hear is slamming doors as they close hard. But not a big issue for us.
