While the staff was friendly, the room issues and lack of reliable Wi-Fi made the stay frustrating.

The location of the hotel was convenient for attending the conference.

The room itself was generally clean and comfortable aside from the maintenance issue.

Cons:

I wanted to share some concerns regarding my recent stay.

During the night, the board that was covering the wiring in the room fell off the wall and landed on the bed. Fortunately no one was injured, but this could have easily hit someone or created a serious tripping hazard in the room. That was concerning from a safety standpoint.

Additionally, the fans running outside the room throughout the night were very loud and made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

I had also brought a swimsuit hoping to use the pool, but unfortunately the condition of the pool area was not very inviting.

After returning from my conference, I needed to catch up on emails, but the Wi-Fi was not working. It took quite a while for staff to try to resolve the issue, and by that point it was late enough that I ended up going to bed and postponing my work until the following morning.

Overall, these issues made the stay less comfortable than expected, and I wanted to bring them to your attention.

Pros:

My son been having his birthday stay there for 4 years. I like the happy hour everyone like family mingling. I also like the fact the breakfast supposed to be over at 9 but they know some people want get up so early so they keep the breakfast going till around 10. Rooms always clean nice people greet you with a smile. Food fresh omlet station the bomb.com..honest Christians review. Thank you for always making our stay Great and clean!!!!

Cons:

The place is undergoing renovations. The elevators are very iffy... sometimes working sometimes not but always slow and never all of them working at the same time. The breakfast spread was large, but not good - stick with the bread and cereal. A note by thermostat explains you might not have heat or cooling when you want it. The heat didn't work in my sisters room so they had to bring a space heater up since it's still the dead of winter.

Pros:

This is my second time staying at the Embassy Sweets at 3912 Vincennes Rd. I really enjoy staying here as the staff are very friendly and go out of the way to make sure that you are taken care of. I would like to give a shout out to Jill at the front desk. She is kind and breath of fresh air. From my check it to when I was having an issue with my room. She went above ad beyond. Thank Embassy Sweets and special Thank you to Jill!
