The fact that it was completely under renovation. That should have been disclosed prior to selection as it would have impacted my decision. The heat wasn’t working when we arrived. The toilet could barely flush. The phone in the room didn’t work so we couldn’t contact the front desk or room service. Also, the breakfast was mid. Glass cups were broken, chipped, or not available. There no napkins or condiments each morning ad that was frustrating. Not ketchup for eggs or jelly for toast, Etc…
Clean room
I requested early check in, my room wasn’t even ready at normal check in time. We had to wait for it to still be cleaned when we got there. Breakfast was disappointing. Went down at 745 am to eat and it was wiped clean of food and utensils. Had to go alert the front for anything to be done. The beds were so uncomfortable none of us slept good. Also, upset that I had no where to park because of the construction taking up half the parking.
Clean, the pool, and the room.
Only one elevator working for the entire hotel, we took a lot of stairs, but we were on the 4th floor. Also wifi went down for over 24 hours.
Room snd parking
Elavator issues - very poor - very poor cold breakfast
Nothing
One of the worst years we have stayed here. They are remodeling the hotel. One elevator works for the whole hotel. Breakfast was ridiculous. It starts at 7am by 730 there were no coffee, no glasses, waffle maker was out the whole time, they wouldn't refill the Breakfast station. The omelet station took the longest don't know what happened to the km. He was amazing.
Not the best years and paid full price.
Pool , happy hour and breakfast included
I don’t think there was enough staff to keep up with breakfast refills and happy hour only had one staff taking food orders and making drinks.
Check in was a breeze. Very comfortable suites. Hotel is currently being updated however we were not disturbed. Our front desk gal provided several suggestions for dinner. We enjoyed complimentary cocktails and snacks at the hotel. Complimentary breakfast with made to order omelets. Would definitely stay there again.
We like the hotel and room itself. Staff was super friendly. Bartenders and kitchen staff were on point.
We spent 3 days with cold water. They did inform us that the water heater was broken and did their best to accommodate us. Front desk even gave us the manager's personal number to receive some sort of comp, called all 3 days once in the morning and once in the early evening, left voicemails. They never returned our call.
We recently stayed at the Embassy Suites in Colorado Springs and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
The property was under renovation, which was not disclosed when we booked. Had we known that ahead of time, we likely would have chosen a different hotel. The hotel was also extremely understaffed. Check-in lines were very long, the evening reception had long waits, and breakfast the next morning was chaotic with incredibly long lines. Many items were missing from breakfast and it looked like they had two people there to take care of everything from the omelette station to cleaning up. The evening reception line was well over 40 people long and wait time made it not worth even doing. The staff there did an excellent job, however, the lack of staff created major issues.
The photos online make it appear that the rooms have balconies, which is specifically why we selected the room type we did. However, our room did not have a balcony. I should have looked into that more - Just a heads up the images on the website are deceptive. The view itself was still good, but the windows were very dirty and badly need to be washed, which took away from it.
The MOST concerning issue was that we found a pill in our room that had clearly been left behind by a previous guest or housekeeping. Our child actually put the pill in his mouth before we realized what it was. Thankfully, he spit it out immediately before he ingested much of it. We reported this to the front desk right away and were given the card of the general manager. It has now been two weeks, and we have not heard from anyone. I also emailed Hilton directly and have received no response. The lack of follow-up is incredibly disappointing, especially given the seriousness of the situation. Apparently Hilton thinks leaving behind mystery pills if fine now.
All in all, I would have rated this place 2 stars before the pill situation - I'm sure if they double staffing and complete the renovations it would actually be a nice place, however, we will never be back.
Hotel is currently under renovation and has been for quite awhile so it’s noisy. While we were there the temperature regulation in the rooms were horrible, some rooms were freezing while others were comfortable. For 2 days there was no hot water in the morning. Food was mediocre. The lighting is so dim in common areas you feel uncomfortable. One of the elevators has been broken for 3 years and when mentioned, the response is the same, “ we’re waiting on parts” the other elevator shafts are filthy dirty and full of cobwebs and dust.
Great breakfast
Only 1 working elevator for most of our stay but glad to see renovations being done
The breakfast was good. That is the only thing we liked.
This was by far the worst Hilton we have ever stayed in. It was absolutely filthy, dingy and run down. We arrived and i noticed immediately going in, the outside planters were filled with dead plants from previous years. The windows everywhere from the lobby to the elevators and the room were absolutely filthy and dirty. The room had pictures off the walls, lamps that didn’t work and the phone to the front desk didn’t even work. We stayed 3 nights and not once was the lobby vacuumed or the hallway carpets vacuumed. The carpets were wavy from being loose and deteriorating . I know who ever manages this property needs fired. Hilton should be embarrassed and ashamed of having their name on this property!!
Breakfast was easily the best. The value and comfort were a plus in addition to the location. The only problem I was presented with was the construction they were about to undergo due to a renovation in progress. Overall, the room setups were nice. I could do it again.
The elevators were a little off/ on. There was one that was shut down completely but hopefully that was being fixed.
Elena who helped us at Kronstadt desk was very helpful and very knowledgeable. A big thank you for that.
Clean and modern. I felt safe and free parking.
Fire alarm at 12:30 a.m. Christmas morning. Then having evacuate our room for an hour. One of the guest pulled the alarm because someone called and told him to. The firemen were not very happy with him. It wasn't a call form Amy of the hotel employees.
