Good food, super clean and nice rooms and great staff! Stayed at a few hotels in Guayaquil and this has been my favourite. The free airport shuttle is a huge bonus and runs 24/7!
Inmejorable desayuno, cama muy cómoda, habitaciones amplias.

I had a wonderful dinner at the Patio Restaurant, and I can't praise Captain Boris enough for his exceptional service. Boris was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. His warm hospitality and professional attitude made our dining experience unforgettable.
The Oro Verde in Guayaquil is a haven in the city - separated from the noise and traffic. We arrived from the USA and were greeted at the airport by Juan Pablo holding a sign with my name on it. He drove us to the Oro Verde, walked us in after loading our luggage, and brought us to the check-in counter.
The hotel provided us with connecting rooms on the 7th floor where we had a great view of the city. The beds were some of the most comfortable we've used when away from home and the rooms were spotlessly clean. We ate breakfast at El Patio and for an American who has picked up E-coli from a previous trip to Ecuador, having a place where I could relax and eat anything without safety concerns was worth the cost alone. However, the impressive variety of fruits, ceviche, bakery items, as well as western style eggs, omelettes, and breakfast meats made my kids feel right at home. I was looking forward to having local fruit juices, but my doctor told me not to drink those available on the streets. But thankfully El Patio has two out on the buffet each morning.
We also ate at La Fondue on our last night there, and my kids said it was their favorite meal of the trip (sorry Ecuador! The tigrillo was the best thing I ate while there). The fondues were authentic to their Swiss origins and the restaurant was themed similarly. Even the place mats made a Swiss flag on the table. I didn't see green apples on the menu, but they happily provided them upon request as that is one of our favorite pairings with a traditional Gruyere and white wine fondue. They also were very responsive to my daughter's tree nut allergy, offering to bring us another apple after the first was served with walnuts.
Overall, I would say that this 5 star hotel is not in the same league as a JW Marriott or Waldorf Astoria in terms of luxury, but in terms of value, it is stunningly superior. We were able to rent two rooms for about half the price of a single room at a similarly-appointed hotel in the States. The staff was incredibly friendly, the hotel was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and after a long plane ride, that was exactly what we needed.
This will likely be the first hotel I check the next time I'm in Guayaquil.
