We had an amazing stay at Hotel Barocco and would absolutely return. What truly made the experience stand out was the staff—they were exceptional from start to finish. Every day they went above and beyond, offering helpful suggestions (especially for dinner spots!) and making sure we felt taken care of at all times.
The location is perfect—so central that most major sights are easily walkable, and metro access is close by for anything a bit farther out.
Our room was cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious for Rome, which was a great bonus. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, with an all-you-can-eat à la carte menu that felt both high-quality and thoughtful—especially since it helps reduce food waste.
Overall, a wonderful experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.
Le personnel, l’emplacement, le petit déjeuner, les attentions…tout était parfait !
Outstandingly helpful and friendly staff - best we have come across in our wide travelling experience
Excellent breakfast and service
would be useful to have some more storage for clothes etc rather than 2 writing desks
Our room was large and bright, the location was wonderful, the front desk staff were extremely helpful, and the breakfast room staff were professional but kept us laughing:) It was a great experience and we would love to return!
Nothing—it was a wonderful stay.
Service during breakfast was great.
Hotel is very central, which makes it easy to walk to main landmarks
Staff seemed helpful, but willing to tend to my feedback and ask for help only if I insisted on getting the service in question.
Examples were: bathroom shower drain was clogged, so I had to turn off the water during shower to avoid having my feet soaked in 'dirty water'. I asked for a different room, and they suggested waiting another day to have the proper technician look at the issue. When I pushed to change rooms, they made arrangements.
I was supposed to leave before 7AM and would miss breakfast. My flight was delayed so I had time to eat, but when I asked to have breakfast they told me they were fully booked! Not until they noticed I was upset about not being allowed to have breakfast that I had paid for, they 'found' a table for us - btw, the breakfast area had 3 empty tables and nobody joined during the time we were there eating.
Wonderful experience. We got engaged during our stay and the staff were amazing and helped me Surprise my fiancée with flowers and an amazing room Breakfast is it run by one person which makes it a show
A quaint and charming room in an older building with an awesome staff that were sincerely friendly and welcoming! It’s located in a great location and we had a wonderful view of the fountain. If you like walking the city we were within 15-30 min of everything. Nice size bathroom and amenities. The breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent
The bed was hard and uncomfortable so I didn’t get a lot of sleep. My husband wasn’t a big fan of the shower as the handheld attachment was located near his feet. I liked the rain shower but it was a bit wonky at times. I don’t think you’d call it a great value for your money but I’m glad we stayed.
Just stayed 3 nights, what a fabulous hotel, staff so helpful, and friendly, and very professional. Room lovely bright and clean. Breakfasts are just the best! Staff lovely, amazing food, loved it, thank you!
Everything was excellent. We were filling like home !!!
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, from the receptionists to the people responsible for breakfast! Location is good, close to some locations, and still in walking distance from others. Metro station around the corner as well. Everything was very clean! Breakfast was excellent.

We had a beautiful room with a balcony in the bathroom. The room was beautifully a boutique style, very clean and the toiletries were like having a Spa every time you had a shower and moisturised. Lovely dressing gown and slippers. The staff couldn’t do enough to help you. The customer service and the breakfast were fantastic!I will definitely be staying in this hotel again when returning to Rome.
Our room overlooked a café/bar, was over the top of this and was quite noisy. The first night I didn’t get any sleep due to a very loud group of people talking underneath the window. There was double double glazing and I could still hear them. I managed to get some ear plugs Which helped drum out the noise. It was a shame because everything was just so beautiful, this is no fault of the hotel.
Nothing to fault. Communication prior to arrival, excellent. ALL staff exceptional, clearly very good training in all aspects of hospitality. Accommodation from rooms to social areas excellent. Comfort and cleanliness all to a high standard. What can I say about breakfast, apart from perfect. The service and the quality of food on offer outstanding. Our only regret was that we were only here for 4 nights. If you visit Rome please consider the Hotel Borocco, it is conveniently located to many attractions and to the station if you wish to explore further afield.
