Every person working at this location was exceptional. Whenever I needed help moving in items for our project or moving out or had questions or needed something extra they helped. The hotel was clean and the food was good. This made being there three weeks much easier.
I liked the location of the hotel. I also liked the lobby it smelled like Spring!!
The only thing I had a problem with was the price of the continental choice buffet style breakfast served. For the price I hoped for better quality and selections. Hotels for less serve continental breakfast. A hotel such as this I believe the price was costly in combination with the price of parking and other fees.
The Renaissance Seattle is not only the most wonderful hotel in Seattle but also the best Marriott I have ever stayed at. I am a Lifetime Platinum Elite member in part because of this hotel. The manager Sam Makkiya is excellent. The hotel is meticulously clean & the decor beautiful. Sam makes sure the staff take excellent care of the guests. The Club Lounge is wonderful with great food, staff and cleanliness.
Thank you Sam.
I have mixed feelings about this property—we had an unplanned, extended (weeks long) stay here due to a family emergency and a family member being at Harborview Medical Center for over a month. They offer a rate code for hospital patients family members that some nights of our stay saved us quite a bit but other nights rate was essentially the same as the rack rate.
Pros-10 minute walk to Harborview
Easy access from I5 to get to/from airport
Concierge lounge open 7 days a week, able to grab quick bite before heading to hospital
Bar open late for dinner
Walking distance to downtown spots
Clean rooms
Cons—even on the 27th/28th floor the city noise was significant, if you are sensitive the that bring your ear plugs or sound machine
Small gym, was often busy
This is where I was left with a sour taste…as mentioned this was an unplanned, emergency trip to Seattle. We needed a few basic items for ourselves and our hospitalized family member which we ordered from amazon for delivery to hotel. As Amazon sometimes does, each item arrived in its own small envelope making our delivery 4-5 small packages. When I went to the desk to retrieve them they offered to bring them to room. I told them I was fine carrying them up myself but they said they weren’t convenient to the front desk so they would bring to room. When they were delivered the gentleman that showed up at my door informed me that he would be adding $5 per package I received at the hotel to my hotel bill. I was a little shocked. Adding $20-25 to my already several thousand dollar hotel bill was just a small addition but it was the principal as a loyal, lifetime Titanium member to be charged that fee. We ended up sending laundry out later in our stay as we ran out of clean clothes and same thing, we brought to front desk and retrieved and they charged us $5 for each “inconvenience”
The water pressure in my shower was really low
Amenity and customer service are good.
Nothing I dislike.
