Winston-Salem Marriott

We stayed at The Marriott Winston Salem while traveling over the holidays. Everything about our stay was pleasant. The staff were great! I felt safe on and around the property. Thanks to Juana G, our room was super clean and comfortable. We arrived later in the evening and had plenty of options for food that was walking distance from the property. We will definitely stay at this Marriott again when traveling to Winston Salem.

I reserved a room at the Marriott Winston-Salem for one night through the Marriott app. My wife and I were on our way to Asheville for New Year’s, and I thought this would be a good stop to explore the area before continuing the trip. We are Titanium Elite members, and I still had a few Suite Night (upgrade) rewards available. After booking, the app wouldn’t allow me to apply the upgrade, so I emailed the hotel to ask if one could still be used. I also mentioned that we were celebrating my wife’s birthday and our 15th anniversary.
When we arrived, the front desk associate thanked us for being Titanium Elite and told us she had upgraded our room. She then wished my wife a happy birthday and mentioned she had received my email — which was very much appreciated.
The room was an excellent upgrade. It included a small kitchenette, a family room with a couch and large TV, and a dining table that could seat six people. The bedroom was spacious with another TV, and the bathroom was a nice size with a walk-in shower. Everything was very clean and well maintained.
The only negatives were related to lighting. The family room could really use more lighting, as there was only one lamp behind the couch. During the day it’s fine with natural light, but at night it felt dim. Also, there is no light switch between the bedroom and bathroom, so we had to leave the shower light on because the hallway to the bathroom is very dark.
One nice bonus is an excellent Mexican restaurant located right outside the hotel’s front entrance. The food was very good and made for a convenient dinner option.
Overall, a great stay with a fantastic upgrade and attentive service. We would definitely stay here again.

Also after returning from dinner we came up to our room and there was a wonderful cheese and meat board on the coffee table with a Happy Birthday card for my wife. Very generous!!

Very clean, good location. Needed a Marriott property on way to CHS and this hotel checked all the boxes.

Very nice hotel. Clean, friendly staff, and great location. One staff member that made my stay exceptional was Cameron J. He was friendly, helpful and went above making sure we enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic hotel for traveling with pets! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly from the valet to smiling front desk agents every time we walked through the door. It is also a great walkable location in downtown Winston-Salem. Highly recommend for your next stay!

Nice views in the winter. Very friendly staff who take time to learn my schedule & preferences- which is awesome for a big place. Tucker is a great valet and J & Laurie are awesome in the bar

Antoinette is absolutely amazing. She went above and beyond with her service to ensure that our meals were perfect. Chef is a boss and we cannot be more appreciative. Thank you.

Laurie gave us tremendous service at the bar. The steak was great and everyone was very friendly for my first trip to NC!!!

Back at Butcher & Bull at the Marriott! The food was great… as always, and Laurie is fantastic. One of my favorite places to eat!

The bedroom bedding was stained, called several times for new bedding without response. No dishclothes, united not very clean. I would never rent this unit or with this company. The reason for selecting this location is because or was close to the event

The hotel is wonderful. Clean, convenient, friendly staff, if a bit wonky elevator service.

But what raised it from good service to outstanding hospitality were two staff members, Pamela and Cathy. Met them in the M Club. They both raised the bar. We have stayed in a lot of Marriots ( we are Titanium at this point). Always get great service. But these two made us feel at home.

So, high ratings for the hotel. Extra stars fir Pamela and Cathy!
