Dayton Vitality Hotel

The Vitality Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Dayton. The hotel lojujbby was crowded when I arrived and I could not find the check-in kiosk - there is no registration desk or concierge - and a security guard said I was already checked in and could go to my room, but I wasn’t. I texted for help and was told someone would be there shortly, but wasn’t. After 15 minutes, I went back down to the lobby, which was now nearly empty and the check-in kiosks were quite obvious. Once I checked in everything went smoothly. However if you don’t have a smart phone staying at this hotel could be a real problem. The free breakfastp’´ is the best I’ve seen in any hotel. My room was right by the elevator, but between about 11pm and 7 am it was quiet enough that I got a good night’s sleep. On the down side, the hotel has 11 floors of rooms and three elevators, only one of which was working when I stayed there. Also, and this is a problem with many hotels, for guest safety all tub showers should have grab bars
for entering and exiting the tub. Everyone needs these, not just handicapped folks.

The digital check-in was a hassle. We received excessive mails and texts and ultimately needed Yvonne (who couldn't have been nicer or more professional) to check us in and that took at least 10 minutes.
The rooms were great except for the cement floors.

Shower not working.

The rooms were very clean, do not like the barn door on the bathroom, doesnt seem like you have privacy. Parking was difficult to figure out, staff was nice except for the oerson sending trxts messages. A text said i had a qr code to open, i replied back that there was no code, response sounded as if they were irritated with me. When we arrived the one of the ladies standing there was helpful the other with long hair was annoyed, she heard our name and rolled her eyes. I actually DID NOT have the code, so I was right. The keyless entry can be a lottle confusing. All in all we would stay there again.

Clean, well organized, polite and professional staff, perfect location, and great breakfast!

Everything was good except the bed pillows. This is the only reason I rate it lower on comfort. They are really thick hard foam and nearly impossible to sleep on. They need to switch to feather pillows. Breakfast was full serving - not just continental.

In the process of renovating. Not much open and several floors not even available. Pool is still being renovated- room was nice and clean- parts of the hotel that were open were nice and remodeled. Staff was good- but only two people on staff at night. Breakfast was delicious and included!

The elevators need some attention. They appear very worn out and were stuffy. The staff was wonderful. If the dining room was any indication, the renovations will be worth it.

We interacted with six staff members and found each one of them enthusiastic and willing to help with our needs. Perhaps the best overall staff at a hotel I've ever encountered.

It felt cold, no staff, parking two blocks from facility in unsafe area. Felt like staying in a prison cell.
