Ashley the manager and Adam at the front desk were top tier!
Food wasnt good
Do NOT stay here. Service is the worst. I missed 1 night of my stay (flight cancellation for a conference) and was told by 1 staff person that this charge was my responsibility (understandable) - and then was told by ANOTHER staff person that this charge was removed as a courtesy - and then I was charged for it anyway. When I called to inquire the actual policy, I spoke to an ASSISTANT MANAGER who told me he understood there was miscommunication and would speak to his supervisor. A week later that ASSISTANT MANAGER informed me that his supervisor had approved the refund and it needed to be sent to accounting. A week later I called and spoke to that man's supervisor and she stated the she NEVER approved anything like that and that I am responsible for the no show. I understand that because that's a general hotel policy, but what I can't understand is why your staff is unclear of their own hotel policies. I asked if she's saying that the assistant manager lied to me. She couldn't answer but re stated that she hadn't approved anything. I reiterated that at this point the front desk staff had misinformed me about this AND that an associate manager had lied to me about this and that they clearly cannot get their staff on the same page and I will not recommend them to anyone. It's one thing to be responsible for a no show - standard policy. What's NOT standard is your staff not being on the same page with policy and a manager lying to you. NOOOOPE.
Amazing historic hotel. As I walked the halls I felt I could run into Hemingway or Picasso.
There is a “false entrance” in the front of the building the GPS will take you to. The real entrance is on the north side of the building. Look for the valet parking. Some signs on the locked doors directing you to this would have been helpful.
Very nice
Restaurant over priced
Location was great.
Room was small. 12 dollar breakfast for 35 dollars
Lovely stop on our trip - the rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was wonderful. Parking is expensive here, but you're downtown so expected. All complaints are minor, but be aware:
parking is confusing if you've not been here before, honestly pay for valet if it's your first time, or if you have a tall vehicle (garage is 6'6"); noisier AC than average but just a bit; rooms are dark - very moody lighting which is fine if you like that; we didn't have any washcloths and one side of our night lamp was burned out, both would probably have been easy calls to the front desk if we weren't so tired.
Wonderful historic property in the heart of the city. Upgraded historic details throughout. Reasonably priced for full-sized rooms with 9ft ceilings and upgraded bathrooms. The evening duty engineer (Cameron) was outstanding and could not have been more accommodating and helpful.
Elegant historical space. Very clean. Friendly staff.
The breakfast was good, but service was a little disorganized. They were kind and earnest.
The room we had almost no closet space. The bathroom is not private. The shower is next to the bed.
We had an excellent experience, thanks largely to Ryan at the front desk. We had a minor issue with our room shortly after checking in, and Ryan addressed it and corrected it immediately. Later, we had an issue with noise and Ryan not only put us into a new, quieter room, but it was a major upgrade from our previous one. Finally, he actually looked for us to give us complimentary drink vouchers to make up for all of the inconvenience. He was professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and made our stay even better than we expected.
Also, the hotel is absolutely beautiful!
It’s a big beautiful old building, the staff was so warm and welcoming
The room was a little crammed. There’s a big dresser but based on the size of the bed (we were in a king) that doesn’t leave much walking room. There’s shower also never got hot.
Location I have stayed here many times for over thirty years attending wedding and family reunions. This has always bern my go to .. until this “resfresh” which took a lot of the chacter out of the finishs.
Packed with young child dancers and moms having a dance convention. No service at drop off. Had to carry our own bags. Valet parked $60 ! No rooms left got a room with a view of the roof and HVAC condensers. No hot water on shower in the morning No technician arrived for an hour .., then until five before we were leaving to attend a funeral (Sam at switchboard would not put a call through go the front desk ? Said they were too busy! waits for the slow elevators were epic . 100 percent rigid staff at front desk hell bent on rules which are draconian. Top Management needs to rethink this “AUTOGRAPH” designation if they are selling discounted rooms to the mass convention market -noisy kids and moms all through the stay … poor strategy for a classic hotel My cost way over. $500 for one night (plus parking and breakfast not included) the refreshed rooms look like a corporate interstate hotel/motel and not special . Save your money and ditch this money grab for a real hotel experience
The property was beautiful but we had an issue with the gentlemen who checked us in he was not kind. And in the morning the bathroom had overflowed and the gentlemen at the front desk was no help at all I understand we were checking out but one person being able to shower and the shower over flowing to the point no one else can step into the bathroom is ridiculous.
Staff
Loved the room after we asked to move... second room was awesome with a fabulous view of the area.
The hotel was hard to navigate, it was haunted, the elevator was screaming at me and it would take you to random floors. It also was very dirty and the walls were paper thin. The outlets kept falling out. Horrible experience overall.
Staff
Room closed to the elevator
Has the feel of faded glory in a good way. Very close to everything. Very corporate and chain hotel feel to it, but that's probably to be expected dive that is what it is.
The house keeping was minimal. The sofa bed was pretty uncomfortable.
