The staff were super friendly and helpful, such an amazing team. The breakfast was exceptional!
The smell of the carpets in the room would be the only negative. But overall our experience was wonderful!
Great location, easy safe parking (with additional charge), great size room, even had an upgrade! Very safe inside with staff on duty 24/7.
There was a little noise from I think boilers or something. But wasn't too loud so was able to sleep through it.
I did request that the General Manager contact me regarding this stay as I wanted to personally explain our experience, but he failed to do so, hence the 1 star review.
One year ago I gave this hotel 5 stars but sadly not this time and I’m still not sure what went on, as it was all very strange behaviour, which I have documented.
Shona the reservations manager promised an upgrade because of my Hilton Gold membership. I was then told by her an hour later that there were no upgrades as there were no rooms in the tier above. I explained that the main Hilton and Honors site were showing there were rooms available but she said it was a glitch and there were no rooms!
Consequently, I booked a 7th floor room using the Honors App and received confirmation both from Hilton Honors and from Shona and thought no more about this confusing mess.
When I checked in at 5 PM the next day, the reception had changed my room to the 2nd floor - I asked why and they stated, that the room on the 7th floor had not been cleaned! When I challenged them on this, another “check in” assistant said the room was actually available - complete madness and untruthfulness yet again!!!
The air conditioning didn’t work in our room on the hottest day of the year and also, all the hallways leading to the rooms had plug in temporary emergency lighting boxes installed which was very disconcerting as you were left wondering if we would be in complete darkness at any moment with no power!
A point to note- the hotel appears to be currently on a charm offensive with a lady in the reception asking everyone if they were happy with everything, when in-fact, the hotel front desk seemed to be in disarray, so I would suggest, based upon my experience, not to be swayed by the latest reviews!!!
Finally, Leaving on, the one positive note of our stay which would have justified 5 stars; all of the staff at breakfast are outstanding, they really are and Samir remains that shining light that makes you want to return as, he is not only amazing with the kids especially on their birthdays if he is aware, but he is also so attentive with the rest of the guests, a true professional and role model!
Location is perfect for us. Breakfast is very good. We feel the rooms are clean but a little bit dated, however we realise the costs reflect this so we have no issue with this.

Always difficult to keep food hot but eggs were not hot and bacon was overdone.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Yohan. I had an upgrade to a king suite and requested a room that was on the quietest side of the hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. Complimentary still and sparkling water were in the room and toiletries in the bathroom. The location is great if you're visiting Olympia exhibition centre. There were robes and slippers too.
The room was very cold, even after changing the air-conditioning settings, but luckily there was a small portable plug in radiator in the room which I had to leave on overnight. The cleanliness of the bathroom wasn't great, lots of hair on the floor and in the bath. The bath plug was broken, so when I was having a bath the water drained out. The TV remote was VERY dirty, I had to use multiple cleaning wipes.
