Great location, great service, Pub near and free parking
Convenient location
Excellent service provided
The morning coffee was so bad. The coffee machine would give you too much milk for latte or too much water for americano. It tastes yucky like drinking milk or water.
Carvery was excellent some of the other on the menu tasted bland.
Scampi was quite bland tasting.
Great place to stay
Everything was fine
Bedroom was basic but clean
Restaurant facilities felt grubby
Good service and hot food that I didn't have to wait long for as I was in a hurry plus I could take my drinks to my room. Not sure if room service was available but would be a good add on if possible.
It wasn't clear that I had to go into the pub to register and collect my key and it felt awkward doing so with luggage when the restaurant was so busy. Advance warning in confirmation paperwork and hotel description would have been appreciated.
Location
Bit dated
I stayed in an accessible room, which was a very good size with plenty of room to turn my mobility scooter around in. The bathroom was a wet room which was ideal.
The bed was very hard, but the staff did provide me with a duvet to put under the bottom sheet which helped. Unfortunately, my room was right next to the entrance hall. The front door was an automatic opening door which was fine but the inner door which you had to access with your key had a very strong automatic closure on it. This meant that each time somebody went through the door it slammed shut behind them. This was very loud and went on late into the night and started again at around 04.45 when the first people left the hotel in the morning. Every time the door slammed shut the whole room vibrated. Breakfast was quite good but unfortunately not in the hotel. Thankfully, the weather was good but had the weather not been good then you would’ve got wet going from the hotel into the pub for your breakfast.
