Direct access to the room without needing keys to access buildings other than my room and not needing to traipse miles through corridors to my room
The green light on the fire exit sign in the room did stop me from sleeping the first time I slept here. Appreciate the need for something but this is really disturbing to sleep. I brought eye mask next time so may be worth warning guests
Staff were very friendly and ate in the restaurant with family and food was great.
Have stayed here a few times and always had a lovely stay but as other people have commented rooms are looking a bit tired and could do with a good deep clean and makeover.
An hour to take our order for a pre-booked 1:30pm table for lunch was not good. Toilet in our accommodation not very clean & we also had to ask for clean glasses to go with our bottle of wine ordered to go with our lunch.
No remote control for tv in room 1
I have been staying at the Hotel during the week for a while and am pleased with it. It has more character than the larger chain hotels, free parking and the rooms are cleaned daily which is a rarity these days.
Good service from everybody including Poppie, Elliott and chef Fred. Poppie always draws a shamrock on the head of my pint of Guinness.
The food is good with a different food and pint offer Monday to Thursday.
We booked for lunch having not been here before. On arrival we found it difficult to find the entrance to the car park, it was a very wet day and difficult to read the parking instructions. We entered the pub and were very disappointed with the overall appearance it was dingy and grubby but most of all it was very, very cold. We and other guests enquired about the parking and were told if we gave our reg no we wouldn't have to pay parking fees. Who pays parking fees in a pub!! Asked where is disabled parking and was told there was one space out there somewhere.
Greeted by two employees who really didn't seem very interested, unprofessional and untidy. Found our table ourselves but couldn't set a tab up for drinks. Sat there for a while but it was so cold, there was no heating its January cold and very wet, when someone said something to the bar staff was told the would ask the manager if he could switch the heating on but this didn't happen.
In the end we left without eating, will not be going back.
Why does the hospitality industry complain about how they are struggling and treat customers in such an appalling way.
Pre booked breakfast and paid for on line . Swan not open , no breakfast both days . Only house keeping lady on site ☹️
Quick check in with very friendly and helpful staff. Proximity to the station is very useful.
The room was poorly sound insulated (mainly through the door). There is a train level-crossing nearby which sounds an alarm for a few minutes every time a train goes through, noise from the room above could easily be heard at night through the ceiling.
The rooms are separate buildings, theres coffee and tea provided in the room, the room feels cozy overall, theres a TV (not too fancy but still), and the room and bathroom look nice.
The bathtub kept draining rapidly after being filled and plugged
Localização muito boa!
Quarto pequeno
We wanted to support our local pub and have a festive drink on Christmas eve. Arrived to a busy pub which was expected, the only free table.was stacked high with dirty plates and glasses. Tried to buy a drink but after waiting 20 mins and no sign of service we left. Very disappointing to see only 2 or 3 staff working. Poor management.
