We traveled to El Paso over New Years to attend the Sun Bowl between Duke and Arizona State and to visit areas in nearby Fort Bliss where my wife was born. As long-term Marriott Bonvoy members, this was our first opportunity to ever stay at an Autograph Collection hotel. Wow! We are so glad we did.
This 1912 hotel was so full of history, with its elegant restaurants and central bar, highlighted by the incredible antique tiffany glass domed ceiling and walls. We also enjoyed the hotel's central downtown location, just steps away from the Plaza with all the holiday lights and festivities as part of Winter Fest. Thanks to the current hotel owners for making the financial investment several years ago to restore and preserve this historical building. And special thanks to all the staff members who assisted us, both at the front desk and the shuttle station, for their excellent customer service.
One of the managers, Miguel, even took the time to show us a wall on the second-floor lobby of some of the famous people, including several US Presidents, who had stayed at Hotel Paso Del Norte over many decades! It's a great hotel experience and a great town, again, with so much history!
We had a great experience. Food was delicious and the service was excellent, even though the place was packed with people do everything run smoothly and the staff remain friendly and attentive throughout. Special recognition to the manager, Claudia Rodriguez, for doing an outstanding job managing such a busy time that will definitely be back..Thank You
Beautiful historical hotel in the heart of El Paso. Dinners at the hotel restaurant, Sabor were sooo delicious with detailed presentations.
The best time to enjoy El Paso downtown is during their winter festival when police blocked off the center of the city where this hotel is located, and allowed people to walk and enjoy the lights and musics.
Special thanks to front desk Jordon and Montana, and Dante at the restaurant.
We were here for a weekend for a family reunion. They have a free airport shuttle that must be pre-arranged, but it is a time- and money-saver.
Location is right smack downtown in the middle of everything. I few blocks away started to look a little dicey, but there is lots going on in the immediate area.
Staff was really professional and helpful. Loved the cowboy hats!
Rooms are not huge but roomy enough. Public areas are well-maintained and beautiful. Didn't get to try the restaurants, but they looked good.
Hotel Paso del Norte is an absolutely amazing stay in the heart of El Paso. The hotel is impeccably clean, beautifully maintained, and full of historic charm that makes it truly unique. Every detail reflects elegance and character while still feeling comfortable and welcoming. The customer service was outstanding, especially from Carlos at the front desk—friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. This hotel is a perfect blend of cleanliness, charm, and exceptional hospitality, and I can’t wait to stay here again.
A fine Marriott hotel in a great location. The property has had a total makeover. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is very attentive. I will definitely stay here again when on business or pleasure while visiting El Paso.
Excellent experience, especially with the receptionist Carlos Araujo. He attended to me from the moment I arrived at the hotel in the best way possible, one of the best I've ever had, and he helped me at all times. Excellent service.
The hotel is located right downtown. You have great views of Juarez Mexico from my room. After having an issue with another hotel and calling this hotel to cancel and move to a different hotel, the concierge was like oh no come here we will take care of you which he did. His name is Carlos and Carlos was amazing. Every day I see him he acts like a friend that I’ve known for years. He’s very warm and caring. This hotel has exceeded every expectation that I did not know that I even had from here on now whenever I’m in El Paso this is where I will be.
Montana truly made our stay unforgettable. As a young Marriott team member, he went above and beyond to take care of our hospitality needs and even helped us secure a complimentary upgrade, which immediately set the tone for an amazing experience. The food throughout our stay was excellent, the service was consistently attentive and friendly, and the facility itself is beautiful, clean, and extremely well-maintained. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful, and it honestly made us feel valued as guests. After this experience, it’s hard to imagine staying anywhere else in El Paso.. This property and Montana’s outstanding service set the standard.
From both a business and guest perspective, this hotel has a lot to learn about customer service. As an Autograph Collection property, guests should be treated accordingly. We decided to give this hotel another chance after a very poor experience in 2024, when the electricity was shut off and we had to fight to receive what we were owed as Marriott status members. In 2025, we returned for my graduation, hoping the experience would be different, but it was just as disappointing. After returning to our room following the graduation, we found it had not been serviced and was still in disarray from the night before. We contacted the hotel and were told they no longer provide room service, followed by a generic offer to let them know if we needed anything else. This was extremely dismissive and frustrating, especially given the circumstances. This is now the second failed experience, and the lack of attentiveness and basic customer service is unacceptable. This is not the level of service I am willing to spend my hard earned money on, and I will not be staying at this hotel again.
This is an amazing hotel at a great location. The staff was amazing especially Brianna at the front desk. She was so patient with me and my friends. I will definitely be coming back!!!
This is an old building with small windows, but the lighting in the rooms is poor. I had to use my flashlight on my phone to pick out clothes in the morning. Seriously. No heat in my room. I turned it to 76, the highest it would go. I asked the front desk for help. They promised an engineer would come up. No change. No evidence he came. My adjoining room was large and windowless. Lamps in the corners. I asked if they had a shirt pressing service. No. They looked like they had never heard such a thing. The staff was generally unhelpful. Used diaper on the stairs for three days. BUT, the bar and restaurants were very good. Cigar room is a nice touch. Location was good.
Beautiful hotel in downtown El Paso. Excellent service, lovely rooms and a central location. We had a wonderful stay at This beautifully renovated hotel. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Live music at the bar off the lobby on some nights. Very relaxing atmosphere and a great view of El Paso and Juarez from the rooftop.
1st time visiting El Paso and stayed at this hotel based on friends’ recommendation. Hotel was beautiful and I would have given a 5 but valet was incompetent and ruined our first impression. Because parking garage clearance was too low we couldn’t park there so valet our truck. Fortunately we decided to walk around downtown and ventured near area by museum with construction with little foot traffic. We spotted our new Ford truck parked on the street UNLOCKED and we were APPALLED! We were fortunate to spot this in time before it was broken into or stolen.
We stayed at Hotel Paso Del Norte to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary, and it couldn’t have been a more memorable experience! When Carlos at the front desk learned what we were celebrating, he surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade — such a thoughtful gesture that truly set the tone for our stay.
Our upgraded room was incredibly spacious and beautifully designed, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy breakfast from room service at an actual table and chairs instead of the bed — a small detail that made a big difference! While the view wasn’t spectacular, the comfort, space, and amenities more than made up for it.
Every staff member we encountered was warm and accommodating. The teams at the Dome Bar, 1700 Steakhouse, and Sabor all went out of their way to make us feel welcome and provided excellent recommendations throughout our visit.
Overall, Hotel Paso Del Norte exceeded our expectations in every way. We left feeling appreciated, relaxed, and already planning our next stay!
Thanks so much to Sebastian H!! He was so kind and helpful to me on my stay here. I highly recommend :) can’t wait to stay here again and try out the rooftop bar
What a lovely hotel this is, right in the heart of EP downtown. We had an overnight here on a recent road trip, specifically selecting due to them being big dog friendly. From the moment we pulled up we found the staff here to be so warm and welcoming... Valet team, front desk and housekeeping!
We had a nice large room on the 16th floor and it gave us a view across the downtown area. The room was clean, comfortable with great sleep quality.
The building is really beautiful and a must see is the stained glass ceiling. The area around the hotel is very walkable with restaurants, a park and some shops a couple blocks away. Could not be more pleased with our stay!
Attended at conference. The hotel is a short walk to the convention center. The spa was very nice. Montana at the Front desk was professional, courteous and very helpful. Lots of historical markers around the hotel!
Upscale services
La limpieza del cuarto, sobretodo la del baño dejó mucho que desear, nos hemos hospedado en este hotel muchas veces y no me había tocado una habitación tan descuidada como esta.
