Exactly a expected from a 4 Star in Italy 'PERFECT'
Pros:

Was little worried choosing to stay in the deep South of Sicily, however after doing a bit of research and contacting the hotel directly, the East Coast highlights and a few more are still accesible via the Hotel. (Via a local agency, offering 8 Seater Small group Tours, and at 'reasonable prices' considering they are almost 'private type' small group tours). So we opted to stay in this hotel as the price was perfect and so was the Airport. (We usually travel from Newcastle so opted for Edinburgh).
Rooms are very comfortable, clean and well maintained (less for the balcony - see below - the views from the balcony were amazing though, we were in room 257 overlooking the gardens). The Swimming Pool at the Acacia Palace is immaculate with lush green well tendered lawns. (Even at the Acacia Marina, which Guests go between the 2, however of course with the pool at the Palace side being Adults Only, it is of course more blissful - we found it got a little busy after 09.00am however quickly found that reserving sunbed just before breakfast is perfectly acceptable).
The food in the hotel was plentiful. We have stayed at 4 stars in other parts of Italy and the choice here (as expected) was perfect at both Breakfast (with egg station) and Dinner (With pasta / specialty station - Deserts were amazing).
The Restaurant Staff were excellent, with a special mention to 'Alberto' and 'Vanesa', always smiling and went out of their way to always help. The other staff did too, however apologies these are the 2 we remember who we really interacted with daily.
Reception Staff are very approachable, always smiling with a special mention again to 'Laura' and 'Dario' who sorted us out with the 3 tours we did to Tarmina and Monunt Etna (on a Full Day), Noto (Half Day), and Ancient Nepolis (Syracuse) and Ortiga Island (For another Full Day). The main resort square takes around 10 mins to walk too, however there are a few small eateries for during the day which you can't miss whilst walking there (Very Good) and a few bars etc.
We are not beach lovers however I did dip my toes in one day and the beach was very clean and warm. (The Italian Beaches are always pristine I find).
The Supermarket (4 mins walk away - taking a right outside of the hotel) is also very well stocked with cheap eats and wines, beers etc. (Very good value for your pre-dinner Balcony Wine we thought).

The only 3 drawbacks if we were to nit pick (Which you may find it hard to find - please dont let them put you off too much).
1. The Reception / Restaurant Lunchtime meal we had on arrival was erm... lets say not the best, and it was a tad overpriced.
2. There is a 2Euro Per Person service charge if you choose for the waiter to get you drinks around the pool (So your 3 Euro water can cost you 5 Euro for example) .
3. The Balcony could have done with a lick of paint.

Despite this, it is a great hotel and we had an amazing 10 Nts Half Board here to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. So I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone considering Sicily.

Delightful Sicilian resort
Pros:

Beautiful hotel set in absolutely stunning tropical gardens with 2 delightful swimming pools .There was also 3 open air hot tubs .Spotlessly clean .Set in a quiet residential area a block away from the promenade and seafront.
Staff were excellent especially Fiorino restaurant manager and Agnata our room cleaner .
Food was buffet style with emphasis on delicious Sicilian cuisine , although British options were also available.
The choice of cakes at breakfast was fantastic.
There was a well stocked supermarket just 3 min walk away .
The only criticism is that there was no entertainment in the evening so an evening walk to the little town was the only option.
Also be prepared for a long journey to the resort .It is at least an hour and a half from Catania airport and the roads are quite uncomfortable!!

Unfriendly, Musty and not worth the money
Pros:

Our daily housekeeper, AGATHA, was a pleasure and super friendly and breakfast staff was good.

Cons:

Front desk staff not welcoming or friendly. Rented us bikes that were on the property and when we started riding them and most of them were flat they told us we needed to go to a place "near the church" to have them serviced with absolutely no directions. Never heard of such a thing in all our years of traveling but in order to ride them we did go and spend over a half hour finding the place, then when we got there no one at the shop and a neighbor showed us a number in order to call the owner of the shop to come to put air in the tires in order to use them. They charged us the full rate for the rentals even with all the hassle we had as well as ZERO apology for our inconvenience.
There was also mold on several walls in our bathroom, massive leaking onto the bathroom floor from the shower and a musty smell in the room.

Fabulous Hotel
Pros:

we travelled to this wonderful hotel in may with jet2 and we were not disappointed. On our first day we did think were have we come to as we had googled the marina and it seemed that there were many shops and streets to explore we also were expecting the hotel to be nearer to the marina but it is a little walk(about 30 mins). There are approx 12 shops(a little disappointing). Other feedback stated that you only had pasta for meals at this hotel, this is incorrect, there are lots of choices ranging from cold meats and cheeses to fish and hot meets all of which are very well presented and well. cooked also there is a fabulous breakfast selection. about the area it is a great place to explore all of the historical towns and villages eg Ragusa Ibla, sicily.Modica and Siracusa all are within 1-1.5 hours from the hotel. To finish all of the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. We definitely will be stopping at the Acacia Palace again in the future

11 night stay
Pros:

Our 11 night stay was in May 2026 in a standard deluxe room with garden view. The room was as expected from the description and photos, with Kettle, cups, fruit teas and coffee sachets with a couple of creamer tiny pots which were replenished daily if required. Large double bed (2 single fixed together) and a sofa. Large wardrobe with hanging space and shelves, but no drawers in the room. There is a large bathroom with walk in shower and a hairdryer. The safe is available for 2 Euro per night. The patio/balcony was a fair size for 2 people and we overlooked the well kept lawns and garden, over towards the local sports centre. This was a very peaceful area to sit and relax and watch the bird life. Overall, the hotel is very pleasant and the staff friendly and helpful. The Palace and Marina hotels are essentially 1 hotel but the Palace is probably the adult only area. We stayed bed and breakfast and we felt that compared to other buffet breakfasts we have experienced on holidays, this was the best. Food choice was plentiful including cereals, pastries, cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt. Cooked food was bacon (best we have had abroad) continental sausages, tomatoes and a chef cooking eggs however you requested. Coffee, tea and fruit juices. Whatever time we went for breakfast the food was fresh and it never felt like a scramble in the restaurant. The restaurant staff are very pleasant and attentive. There is an evening buffet available at 35 euro per person which we had one evening. It was OK but probably not worth the charge and maybe would become uninspiring after few nights if you were half board. There are no facilities of a snack bar through the daytime which was disappointing for us. Some residents seemed to be served a lunch of some sort in the bar dining area, but we were never told about this being available to us. When we asked, the staff member just shrugged and didn’t answer us. The pool areas are very nice with well kept gardens surrounding them. There is a free car park, tennis courts, a small gym and spa. The lovely sandy beach and esplanade are opposite the hotel, just down a small road and across another road. There are 3 or 4 restaurants close by and the main town and marina area with lots more bars, cafes and restaurants are a 1k flat walk along the esplanade. We found that most of the restaurants have similar menus, mostly seafood, pizzas and some pasta dishes. Average price for a meal for 2 and a bottle of wine was around 60 – 75 euro. There are places to explore round this area of Sicily. Ragusa Ilba you can visit by the local bus service, 30 minutes. Other places are accessible by booking trips or hiring a car. Mt Etna is approx. 2.5 hour drive. Taormina approx. 2 hour drive and Syracuse about 1.5 hour drive.

Excellent, well run hotel.
Pros:

The hotel is situated approximately 10 minutes walk from the centre. All the staff, with which we came in contact, were very friendly and accommodating.Dario who seemed to be on reception every day,is amazing. Always happy, and very helpful. Any information we requested,he was able to assist. Agata, on the third floor, kept our room clean and tidy, and is a very pleasant lady.
Breakfast is okay, definitely something for most people. Typical Italian,in as much as there a lot of cakes, pastries and generally sweet food. Coffee and tea are available, but the boiling water required for the tea,is only very warm. All restaurant staff are very efficient, normally clearing away the used plates etc from your table quite quickly.
Two swimming pools, plenty of sunbeds and a lifeguard, who is very handy,as I had difficulty putting up the umbrella!
All in all,a very good hotel.

Wonderful holiday, thank you Dario
Pros:

We stayed 10 nights in this magnificent 4-star hotel. But what made our stay 5-star was the kindness, helpfulness and fantastic smile of Dario, who was always ready to make us feel at home. We will definitely be back next year.
Best regards
Kenny

Do not do half board
Pros:

We have just returned from a week at Acacia Palace, a lovely hotel in a great location. My advice would be to just do bed & breakfast, the breakfast buffet was good, but the evening meals were terrible, with little choice and most of it cold. My husband would normally eat anything, but even he refused to eat one of the freshly made pasta dishes. After paying for the half board and trying for the first few nights, we ended up eating out for the rest of our stay. There are plenty of places to eat locally, and some nice restaurants down in the harbour.

Excellent hotel and facilities
Pros:

Lovely room overlooking beautiful gardens, friendly helpful staff, excellent breakfast, we were only bed and breakfast, as there are lots of restaurants, within walking distance of the hotel, convenient supermarket just 200 yards from the hotel, plenty of sunbeds conveniently spaced, buffet type dinner, very good, but we only ate there a couple of times

Pros:

We chilled out perfectly
Pros:

We are now back from spending 10 days at the Acacia Palace, we booked lateral sea view on a B&B basis we were lucky we got the first one on the side room 343, so a lovely view out to sea and the neighbouring tennis club very entertaining, room smaller than photo advertised, the ones photographed on their website are of the front jacuzzi rooms I expect much more space, this didn't bother us to much but at the same time its bad advertising you should show all the rooms, after a few minor glitches in the room that I have to say were sorted straight away we had no problems at all, the cleaner and reception staff were all very good.
Breakfast was absolutely fine coffee was fine juices were a bit watered down, the location is excellent for the beach and the promenade takes you on a lovely walk in the evenings up to the main square and the Marina, we loved it there, ate there every night, one restaurant was called Tarroco did some fabulous dishes and we found 2 great bars for chilling out beforehand, one was overlooking the Marina for cocktails and Brushetta, small name and it began with a H ! cannot remember Bar's name but worth it for the Brushetta before 7.30pm.
We went into Ibla old town on the local bus very easy and cheap to do lots of steps once there but worth it when you get to the top. It was very hot when we were there last week so did not do as many trips out as planned so instead we enjoyed more beach and pool days chilling the days away it was fabulous made a change from rushing around trying to see all the sights, so for a quiet chilled out holiday with lots of great food this is the place to go.

Recommended hotel
Pros:

Lovely hotel, great location, comfortable and clean room.

We were on half board, both breakfast and dinner were very good.

In the evening there was a buffet with a wide range freshly cooked Italian dishes which were delicious (be aware if you are looking for burger and chips you will be disappointed). There was a freshly cooked to order different pasta dish each day which was fantastic.

The pools were clean and warm, never crowded and despite the hotel being apparently nearly full there was never any difficulty getting sunbeds.

The beach associated with the hotel was good value for sunbeds plus parasol and the sandy beach and shallow sea were both clean and very nice.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, particularly on reception when giving travel tips and a shout out to the excellent barman plus our lovely cleaner.

Only negative was the poor quality fruit juices (which tasted like undiluted squash) from the machine at breakfast

Not what was expected
Pros:

Acacia palace facilities are shared with Acacia Marina hotel so don’t expect it to be quiet , both hotels combined have several rooms therefore several people. Not the quiet hotel that Jet2 described. The room was clean & towels changed daily. The pool towels if you want changed will cost you 3 euros! If you want to use the safe in your room that is extra too. The drinks at the bar were not of good quality. Oh & you have to pay to use the hotels beach - a half day = 10 euros full day =20 euros
Nevertheless we found a very good restaurant called La Falena & visited several times
