Still waiting on the 45.05 to go back into my account but understand it can take a while! Thank you! You guys are awesome
It was very cold and your HVAC could not keep the room at a comfortable temperature
I was down graded on my room. My bathroom was not clean at all. I did take photos. Just very disappointed in the overall experience. I feel I should’ve received a little money off due to the down grade and my room not being clean.
Outdoor pool
The female manager was VERY RUDE, asking personal questions about my family and kids. She was every UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNAPPROACABLE
plasticware was out of stock for breakfast
It was close to st Clair hospital
The WiFi was horrible
Great breakfast and coffee.
I always enjoy Hampton;s breakfasts. The staff kindly prepares turkey sausage for me when I make a request because I avoid eating pork.
The commode is too low and at times it did not work.
We stay at the Greentree location frequently. The staff is always pleasant and the building is always clean. We have never had a problem with the rooms. If we need something the people there are very accommodating. I feel that the value is very good.
I've been coming here for 20 plus years and it keeps getting better every time. The renovations are wonderful. Breakfast is always great, always hot and fresh. Front desk staff is amazing, Tori, Mike, Bethanie, Jamal, Venice, Racquel and Jackie always friendly and helpful. Oliver in maintenance always helps with an issues that may come up. Recommend this hotel to everyone!
Breakfast was decent. Room nice and large.
Hotel was off the beat in path, very isolated. Bed sheets had holes, sheet barely fit the bed which was uncomfortable. No face clothes in the room. Disappointed for being a Hampton inn.
Pros:
• Quite reasonably priced for the Pittsburgh area.
• Kept clean and comfortable.
• Room door locks worked well with digital key.
Cons:
• Run-down from where it used to be, with multiple items not working as they should.
• Worse than typical Hampton breakfast.
• Petty $3.74 charge for self-parking.
• Some disappointing staff members.
As indicated in the title, our recent visit with the Hampton Pittsburgh/Greentree was not our first. In the past, it has provided satisfactory comfortable stays in the area while providing an excellent value. Note that the property is located south of the downtown triangle, meaning the time of journeys between them vary highly, dependent upon the day of the week and time of day. To those familiar with the area, suffice to say that the Ft. Pitt Tunnel lies between the two. Oh, and note that the hotel charges a really petty $3.74 daily parking fee, irrespective of whether or not you are parking there.
Our most recent visit was rather disappointing, as the Hampton seems to be getting neglected by all employee levels. The bathroom light flickered most of the time, as if a fluorescent bulb was giving up the ghost. Thankfully, we are not sensitive to such, but someone dealing with (for instance) epilepsy might require medical intervention in my non-medical professional opinion. There was also a flashing red light that appeared to be coming from the top of the credenza. In retrospect, hopefully not a fire hazard. The tub and ironing board were stained, and the iron faceplate itself was dirty – discovered the hard way. The TV had a horizontal black line running its full width. Not unwatchable, but distracting. Annoying was that the HVAC thermostat could not be adjusted. Even turning it to off, the loud fan continued to blow 24/7.
Some staff were helpful and polite; others ignored guests, and seemed to spend their shifts sitting in the lobby playing videos on their cell phones. We even had to bus our own tables to clean up after previous guests.
Breakfast at Hamptons in general, and this location in particular, continue to get worse. We have pretty much accepted that our favorite part – the bowl of cut fruit – will never be seen again. Hot items were prefabricated and only warmed up, courtesy of Sysco. The only bagels on offer were cinnamon raisin, and abomination for bagel aficionados. Even the normally safe oatmeal was not up to snuff: thick and gummy, as if it had been sitting on a burner too long. So, both mornings, breakfast consisted solely of two boiled eggs. Sigh.
In summary, if you luck into a room in good repair, and don’t have overly high expectations, this Hampton may suit your needs, especially if your business keeps you south of town. Otherwise, best to look elsewhere, as we will be on our regular sojourns through the Pittsburgh area.
It was very nice
I like the coffee flavorings and thw eggs
N/a
It was close to everything .. the staff was really nice and had a good breakfast
The refrigerator made a humming sound all night long . We were next to the vending machines so it was a bit loud at times . We heard everyone . There was a green light in the smoke detector that was right at head level in bed . There was gold fish on the side of the bed .. not from us ..and looks like shoe marks on the wall from where someone slept on the couch.
The staff is always very nice and helpful 5 star staff when you need them place is always clean and they always do their best to accommodate us every time we stay there kudos for the Inn and staff I'm always also seeing improvement when I stay there I see the locks were just updated too just recently. So awesome job on keeping upgrading the facility..
The only 2 dislikes I had was the pillows are really really soft and made my neck stiff. Asked the staff for extra pillows and they easily accommodated .. The other was those stupidity designed hooks to hold up the towels when you get into and out of the shower and tub . They constantly rip out of the walls I would eventually like to see them put different design in for that .. and less holes in the walls ..lol
Everything was
