Restaurant serves a great hot breakfast with lots of choices. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. Cleaning service was excellent. It’s very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Had a restful and pleasant stay!
We arrived late from the east cost and check in was a breeze. Our room was comfortable and clean. Sheets super soft. Yes the room is slightly dated but well maintained. Location is excellent near several restaurants and mall. The Starbucks barista is so accommodating and friendly . And they have moved the shampoo and shower gel lower making it easy to reach when taking a bath. They have a Hertz rental car on sight. I would not hesitate to stay here again. A wonderful experience.
We had a great stay at the Marriott in La Jolla. Aaron and John went above and beyond. Aaron helped us when we returned and we told him we would be headed out to the beach later in the day, so he had our vehicle parked ho front and ready and was kind enough to give us directions to a local beach! We appreciate it!
I used the breakfast restaurant every morning doing my stay. I can highly recommend the restaurant and especially Waitress Neli who made sure that I had a great start of the day - every morning.
We were weary travelers due to delays at the airport but thanks to the lovely staff at the Marriott in La Jolla we were able to check in a few hours early and enjoy their comfy beds for a much needed nap. As if that kind gesture was not enough we enjoyed a night cap at the lobby bar (after indulging in daytime shenanigans in La Jolla) The frosty mug coupled with a ice cold beer and savory burger hit the spot. The morning was not started until the wonderful staff at the lobby Starbucks poured some quality Joe. We truly enjoyed our stay at this Marriott so much so that I forgot to pack my coveted University of Arizona basketball shorts! My tensions were eased with the above and beyond professionalism of the phone operator(I do not recall your name but you are a Gem), Lizbeth Abad and Richard Uribe in housekeeping who were able to FedEx my shorts within days! I’m truly grateful for this amazing staff and in today’s world of Airbnb’s and other entities of the sort I have decided to sign up for Marriott Bonvoy!

We visit this hotel often for Breakfast and Jackie always goes out of her way to provide exceptional customer service. She has a great attitude and is a fantastic representation of your Marriott hotel. Neli is great as well!

I am a titanium member of the Bonvoy program and travel weekly all over the country. Using that as a reference I will share that the staff here is fairly conceded/snobby. I get that it’s La Jolla, but I live in La Jolla..so I was not impressed. This place is fine for business but I would look elsewhere if I were booking for vacation. The customer service is not it. Plus $50 a night for parking is a little steep.

Marriott La Jolla exemplifies the high quality of Marriott properties. You are welcomed by a friendly and super helpful front desk staff. Through my week of stay, thank you to Angel at the M lounge, for taking care of all of us with a smile, even at such early morning hours. And to the housekeeping staff, thank you for adjusting to my schedule to service my room. After a long day of work, it was so nice coming back to a fresh and clean room! I will definitely stay here the next time I am back in town!
I loved the location it was great, near the beaches the mall and so pretty! The loby was nice and parking was cheap.

The property feels old and poorly maintained. Dusty hallways, dark lighting, and a constant chill made the entire place feel unwelcoming. the hotel was busy, yet it felt like a ghost town. There was movement everywhere, but somehow it still felt lonely and disconnected.
The staff seemed overwhelmed and understaffed, which showed in the rushed atmosphere. Everything felt cramped, tired, and past its prime.
Overall, it was a cold, dark, and uncomfortable stay. Not somewhere I would choose to return to unless absolutely necessary.
