We have been staying at the Seahorse Inn for approx 15 years. We love the location. This time was the worst experience we have ever had with regards to service/being able to reach anyone. I am going to keep this brief, parking spot was taken, tried to call no answer, called the emergency contact number no answer, called the Sheriff's department to have the car towed, hotel has to do it. Try to find parking close in San Clemente on a holiday weekend, impossible. Multiple times requested towels, never came, requested toilet paper, never came, requested bed sheets to change our own sheet($400 per night should come with service), brought me only a mattress cover. 3 times walking to office only to find the "back in 5 minutes sign". Good luck, more like 15 to 20 minutes. My stay was over $2100. I will never stay there again! Did I mention the cigar smoker downstairs forcing us to keep out windows closed because the room smelled like smoke? I could go on a lot more......good luck if you choose the Seahorse Inn!
My husband and I stayed in room 5B, for 5 days. We booked directly on the website. Our room was exactly as pictured on the website. The room was clean, right across the street from the beach, had a beautiful view from the balcony, had a nice retro design, and had the amenities that we needed. We loved the location because we could walk to restaurants, cafés, a convenience, store, the pier, and the beach. The hotel is on the street directly in front of the beach. We did hear some traffic, but it did not bother us. The staff was also very welcoming and attentive. We will definitely be back.
This was our family’s first time staying here, and I have to say it was such a relaxing and amazing experience. From the beautiful views to the convenient location and the genuinely friendly staff, everything made this trip a perfect 10/10. Although it was just a short one-night stay, we truly enjoyed every moment and are already looking forward to coming back for a longer visit in the future.
There were quite a few stairs to climb to reach our suite, which may be a bit challenging for some. However, I have to say the climb was absolutely worth it—the moment you arrive and see the beautiful view, it makes every step worthwhile.
Great location, beach is just across the street from the hotel. Room 1 has nice view and lots of space with a good kitchen. Nice for kids.
Train noise gets a little tiresome in the Villa Room 1. We didn’t hear it in Room 7. It’s a little spread out for part of one group to be in Room 1 and the rest in 7.
Location is great across from the Pier.
Upon arrival we were given keys to two rooms in the same building. Later that evening I received a call that one of the rooms was given to us in error and that we needed to move out of that room the next morning and move into the other room which was in another building! So we did.
In checking my reservation, I did not know that it booked two rooms in separate building properties.
Suggestion: Reservations should indicate that this company manages various separate buildings and the customer should make sure that reservations for multiple rooms are in the
same building property. It was an inconvenience but the new room was still very nice.
Although the location is most lovely, our stay was quite disappointing. I booked several months in advance--it was our wedding anniversary--and requested a specific full, beautiful ocean front room. I provided pictures of the room we wanted to reserve, specifically with full ocean view, and the rates quoted were quite high, so I assumed we had the correct room. Needless-to-say, upon arrival and being given a room in the back of the building with a "partial ocean view" was MOST disappointing. However, Adam was understanding and apologetic for the error that a fellow co-worker made.
Additionally, upon departure, there was no questions asked relative to our stay, and a frown from man when asking for a copy of the receipt for our stay, I would have to say the customer satisfaction overall would be a "1" or "2" rating; the "3" rating is based on the hotel location. For two nights' stay at a cost of $715 is not good value.
The location and the room were amazing!
Great balcony, full kitchen and king size bed. They accommodated our 2 small dogs. We loved hearing the train at night and people watching from our balcony was fun!
The exterior of the building needs repair due to termite damage and wrought iron work and paint.
Great location, great room.
Mattress was not very comfortable. Thats it. Thats the end of my complaints.
The location, the view, the deck with the table and chairs... it was perfection! Also, Adam at reception has the patience of a saint! I heard him deal with a difficult person and he was very professional and super friendly without missing a beat! Madison was also amazing when we checked in. She was very friendly and very accommodating.
There was a lot of stomping on the second floor, but only for the last 2 nights of our stay. I don't think that the hotel staff could've done anything about that.
해변과 매우 가까웠어요
샤워부스가 좀 작았어요
Although I originally had reservations at the Casa Tropicana, I was unable to stay due to inability to climb stairs to my third story room. When I went to the office to say I couldn't stay, they offered to switch me to another property. Although there were still stairs, they were more manageable and I had a wonderful room. The office personnel were friendly and helpful and I enjoyed my stay.
Location is perfect. Parking is a big plus. I would definitely return. This is the perfect location for a SoCal beach excursion. Well appointed studio with a great deck.
Property management not always on site and not always available by phone.
Love the location!
The layout of the villa room , we like the villa layout of the room above us but it was already taken. We were fine but prefer the layout of 5-6.
