Excellent hotel with all the right amenities!
Pros:

Our first time here and it was a nice start to our vacation. Excellent breakfast buffet with the most welcoming wait staff. Excellent location for shopping and restaurants. Overall a nice experience. Will be staying here whenever I am in Merida.

Luxury with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Pros:

This place felt like luxury! The staff are welcoming and very attentive, very professional. I really enjoyed the amazing buffet breakfast, outstanding! The access to shops and restaurants was also a nice plus. The lounge access was a nice feature and I highly recommend it.

No lo recomiendo
Pros:

La locacion es excelente pero escogeria otro hotel cercano, el personal es muy amable en general

Cons:

La habitación no cuenta con bañera ni jacuzzi, a pesar de que aparece claramente en la descripción. No recibí ninguna solución, aun cuando elegí este hotel exclusivamente por esa amenidad debido a una necesidad médica. La suite es amplia, pero los muebles están muy deteriorados y las ventilas del aire acondicionado presentan suciedad evidente, incluso con presencia de hongo.

Además, la camarista ingresó a la habitación sin tocar; únicamente presionó el timbre cuando ya estaba adentro, lo cual resulta inaceptable por motivos de privacidad y seguridad.

Cuando expresé mi inconformidad, la única respuesta que recibí fue que “todavía estaba a tiempo de cancelar”. Solicité hablar con el Gerente general, pero nunca se presentó; según el supervisor de recepción, “siempre estaba en juntas”. Esta falta de atención y responsabilidad por parte de la gerencia hizo que la experiencia fuera profundamente decepcionante.

Excelente lugar, maravillosa infraestructura y ubicación privilegiada.
Pros:

La ubicación, cerca a los mejores lugares de la ciudad. La cama deliciosa. Los desayunos (buffets) muy buenos, claro eran extras (pago).

Cons:

El desayuno incluido, comparado con el buffet, era muy sencillo. Por el precio de la habitación podría mejorar.

Experiencia decepcionante para el precio pagado
Pros:

La ubicación, el lobby muy suntuoso, ascensores panorámicos.

Cons:

Tuve un problema desde el primer día con el sanitario el cual nunca fue resultó a pesar de que solicité ayuda en la recepción en dos ocasiones diferentes, el desayuno muy básico y repetitivo (no me lo esperaba al ser un hotel 5 estrellas y bastante costoso), para tener acceso a un mejor desayuno había que pagar un valor adicional, el personal de recepción fue poco resolutivo. En general, la relación costo-beneficio no fue la esperada.

Excellent
Pros:

The staff was extremely polite and helpful, especially Evelyn in the fiesta club, Luis in the fiesta club, along with gentleman who worked in the morning in the fiesta club...I don't recall his name...also Julian and Gaspar the bell hops who attended the guests at the bottom of the escalators to the front entrance...the entire staff was lovely.

Pros:

It is a very beautiful hotel, specially the lobby. Everything looks very elegant and beautiful. Staff was very friendly and polite.

Cons:

I asked for a quiet room but it turned out to be very noisy. You could hear all the traffic from the street and at 6 am they start with music at the lobby that you can hear from your room.
I went to a international congress with more than 1500 people. This hotel was the official hotel for this congress. People coming to the congress could get a discount for the rooms that also included breakfast. Since I booked with time in advance I booked without any discount. Once I explained that I was part of the congress and if I could get discount for breakfast they refused. Breakfast was 27 euros per person! I feel that even if they made me a small discount I would have felt seen and understood but for them I was just one more number. Breakfast was not that great for that price either.
