Wingate by Wyndham Galveston Beachfront at the Seawall

The place was old and messed up. All of the room were not maintained. Old tvs, bathrooms that needed need replacing. I was moved twice and each room was the same. I want my money back.

There was a lot of
mold in the room.

The room did not match the listing. The “balcony” was a shared outdoor walkway with no privacy. The refrigerator had rust on the shelf, there was a cigarette lighter left in the closet, an unwrapped bar of soap was already on the bathroom rack, one bed had a stain, there were no towels when I arrived, and I was surprised by a parking fee that was not disclosed before booking.

A little worn down, pool was green, missing toiletries in one room and towels in another, blood drops on the sidewalk, trash bag just in the hall, early check in fee, charges for parking.

Whew. Well the pool was like the Reflecting Pool in Washington DC so we couldn't use it. Fruit flies in the breakfast area. The stair threads were loose. That is a major accident waiting to happen. The property is extremely outdated but it's visible they are trying to fix things. We couldn't get the TV to connect to cable so we had to call for someone to fix it. The check in time was 1600 (4:00 pm) and no one was there. There were people ahead of us saying they had been waiting 10 minutes. The front desk agent was EXTREMELY apologetic. He is literally running around fixing things, attending to guests needs, they are very under staffed. Once we got in the room, our bed sheets were stained and we taken pictures and went to the lobby and they quickly corrected the problem. THEY NEED HELP. A mess. But the staff is awesome. Obviously the problems are above their heads.

We got back parking views and the units (we rented 2) were both very dirty and the plumbing was not working and leaked all night in on and the other had horrible water cieling stains we had to stare at beige falling asleep

The bed was so hard I'm having very bad problems with my back, even after 3 nights in my comfortable bed!

Pool was green and gross. It was off with trash floating in it. The rooms were dirty and didn't have shampoo or body wash.

For one, our TV was broken. Second, the main light next to the door was out. Third, the fan in the bathroom was obnoxiously loud any time we turned it on. The breakfast was minimal and bland, with only a few items to choose from. Parking was $15/day and I had to call to verify that information AFTER reading reviews. I don't recommend staying here if you're used to fancy hotels, but as this was my partner and I's first trip, it was endearing. This didn't feel like your typical "Wyndham" experience.

Staff was short spoken and not helpful. They charge for parking. The room and property doesn't match pictures online. Cold showers, not enough towels or blankets. No soap. TV was messed up. Wifi was down.

Arrived early and was told it would be 4PM before it was ready. Came back at 4, and it still wasn't ready. They gave us another room on the backside. TV did not work, phones did not work. Went to front desk about the TV. We were told it would be an hour. They never showed up.

Too many complains for other people at the hotel, dirty i mean dirty rooms, sheets were humid.

The pool was disgusting. Mold in room . Tv did not work. We found bed bugs.
