Pros:

Everything was great. The toilet in the rooms was a little sketchy, thought it might clog a couple times. Other than that, it was wonderful to have such a great breakfast and happy hour free drinks!

Nice hotel, friendly staff, and great breakfast.
Pros:

Nice hotel. Well kept up and the staff is friendly. The amenities in the room are a bit sparse for the price you pay but it’s a nice room. The breakfast was excellent compared to other hotels I’ve been to of the same caliber.

Cons:

There should be some complimentary water and tea available in the room for the price you pay. The hotel is showing its age some and the room showed some wear.

Pros:

Really close to the river and downtown Austin area. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms spacious, really good breaksfast included.

Cons:

Rooms could use a renovation, especially the bathroom looked run down. No opportunity to fill a water bottle except for a rather unappealing looking dispenser in the gym. $55 for self-parking in the adjacent parking garage felt rather expensive.

Overall comfortable, but the shower situation & inflated prices for parking were not satisfactory.
Pros:

I appreciated the open area concept with the bar and the access to complimentary snacks in the afternoon. I also appreciated the location, which was close to the venue my work was hosting. I appreciated the 24/7 concierge assistance with issues, at least the ability to message when needed about concerns.

Cons:

Parking was way more expensive than needed, especially considering it wasn't valet. I was told it would be $55 a night just to park, not including any additional services. I was able to find a parking lot with security cameras about a 5 minute walk away for $63 for 3 nights/days with ability to go back & forth.

We also had a major issue with the hot water in our shower not working or only getting tepid or luke warm, not hot. Maintenance was supposed to replace a valve, not sure if this actually happened, & we were supposed to be moved to another room & compensation for part of the stay was supposed to be provided, per emails from a manager & onsite manager as well. I have yet to receive any compensation & we were not moved to another room owing to it being emailed to me late in the evening Saturday &, due to my work schedule over the weekend, I did not receive this email until it was later in the day Sunday. The shower situation was very frustrating, as in order to get a hot shower, we had to use the solo shower next to the pool. I had stayed at this Embassy Suites before with no issue. At one point the shower did start to heat up on the last day there, but it would take over 5 minutes to heat up & we had to turn on the hot water in the bathroom sink because this seemed to help???? Not sure why.

BEWARE
Pros:

The location.

Cons:

The restaurant and bar closes early even on weekends. No valet available to help with cars. The elevators in garage didn't work , and it costs $55 per vehicle to park your car. They don't accept cash for snacks. Gotta charge everything to your room. Only thing we enjoyed was the breakfast every morning. Other than that , come on. Step your game up Embassy Suites. Gotta spend money to make money. I'll never stay with you guys again. I usually don't leave bad reviews but to be in downtown Austin area , we expected way better service .

Won't return unless updates are made to peeling bath area and mattresses are updated.
Pros:

View from room 902 was PERFECT to watch fireworks.

Cons:

Holidays are going to be busy, however, staffing up for the influx would have been nice as standing in line for almost 1.5 hours to get checked in was ridiculous, line out the front door. Food order app did not work, our "premium" snacks/drinks were not in room and had to wait 3 hours to receive them after calling for them. Paint / wall peeling in bathroom and bed was like sleeping on the box spring, VERY hard and uncomfortable.
