Friendly and helpful staff
Fresh water at all times
Pleasant atmosphere
Great to have stocked fridge with drinks
Rooms were a little smaller than what we are use to
Lovely clean hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Little touches went a long way.
Price of the gin and tonics 😂
Pictures misleading. Rooms small and halls have odor ( sewer )
Most everything ! Rooms small, restaurant service bad.
EXCELENTE ATENCION DE TODO EL PERSONAL DEL HOTEL, SON MUY AMABLES Y SERVICIALES TODOS
LA UBICACIÓN A UNA CUADRAS DEL CENTRO VIEJO
Clean, friendly staff, modern facilities, great location.
There was a mechanical noise at night (not sure if from air conditioner) but it was both inside and outside the room and periodic not constant.
It was an amazing stay - the nicest hotel we stayed at in Switzerland. Reception was fantastic - thanks so much to Elena for everything she did... many special touches. And the restaurant, Bolero was great with such amazing wait staff! Thank you all, especially Alex!!
Fantastic place to stay!!! The room was great and the staff were exceptional hosts!! Already trying to figure out when we can come back. Close to the train station, the old town and bus routes!
The location was convenient, being a 10- 15 walk from the old town and close to a bus stop, as well as Migros and COOP stores. I also appreciated the complimentary water refills provided in the lobby.
However, I found the room to be small, warm and with a musty odor. Regarding the mini-bar, I was disappointed by the selection and the fact that I had to purchase standard items like Coke elsewhere. Furthermore, the reception staff was not very welcoming; we were only greeted once during our entire stay.
The highlight of the experience was the breakfast and the restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was fantastic. Our server, Yulia, in particular, made it a real pleasure.
The hotel’s location is within walking distance from the train station. We were fortunate to be able to get into our room early (1pm instead of 3). We paid for a deluxe room and it was pretty small (it had room for 1 small chair). This hotel was the costliest of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip (Zürich, Interlaken and Bellaggio Lake Como). It cost us almost $600 USD per night and breakfast was not included. The à la carte breakfast was incredibly penurious. The croissants were minuscule and not served with butter or jam. The jam cost another 1 Swiss francs. Tap water had to be paid for too. The yoghurt served was small. We heard the onsite Spanish tapas restaurant was very good so we tried it. The seafood paella was not good and a couple of the mussels smelled bad. Frankly all of the food was mediocre at best and unappetizing at worst. FYI we spent 11 days in Madrid and Galicia Spain last year so we are well acquainted with excellent tapas and Bolero fell WAY SHORT. All in all we wouldn’t stay here again.
Lindo hotel, limpio.
Muy lejos del centro, carísimo para su ubicación y relación precio/calidad
We enjoyed our stay at the Cascada very much. All of the front desk personnel, especially Elena, were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed (including a little Toblerone treat each day). The hotel was well located, relatively near the train station and the shopping area. All in all, we were very satisfied with the Cascada.
Traveling from Malaysia with three kids, we encountered a problem during check-in due to a misunderstanding in the email communication. However, the issue was resolved quickly by Ms. Lou. Although she is still a trainee, she handled the situation very professionally and efficiently.
The location is excellent. While the hotel may initially seem a bit far from the main train station entrance, there is a nearer station exit located close to the hotel, making the walk less than 4 minutes.
The interior of the hotel is modern, comfortable, and very cozy. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would gladly recommend this hotel to families traveling with children.
Friendly staff. Near train station. Clean.
No area to hang out with our family that wasn’t in a room. If we spent time together after dinner it had to be in one of the rooms
