I had a pleasant stay and would come again and do recommend this boutique hotel.
Pros:

I only ate breakfast and it was good but not amazing considering the price.
The service was excellent. Amelia was extremely efficient and helpful. I noticed her multitasking and anticipating guests' needs before they even had to ask. Well done to her.
Reception staff were warm and welcoming.
I really liked the small touch of complimentary water bottles and the access to the water station in reception.
The hotel was close to the train station which was very handy for check out.

Cons:

As i was travelling alone on this occasion, the hotel was just a little bit too far from central area of restaurant/ bar activity for my liking. It would not have bothered me if i had company but i felt that i needed to be back at the hotel before it got too late since i was a female travelling alone. This was just a personal preference. It didn't feel unsafe, however.

Great staff and accomodations
Pros:

We had a great evening and stay with Cascada! Elena was helpful from our check-in, to making us dinner reservations too! She was a pleasure to work with.

Clean, but dangerous and not 4 Stars.
Pros:

Let’s start with the good stuff. The room was very clean, the staff were nice, and the breakfast was good. But as some people mention, this would in US be a 2 star hotel. No place to put away your cloth other than hangers. I never found the TV remote, and while the free beer in the minibar was a nice gesture, there was no can opener. The water temperature fluctuated white I was taking shower. But most importantly, THE SMALL ROOM IS DANGEROUS. The odd ceiling design that dropped down on the side where you would naturally hard in because that is where the night table and electric outlets were caused need to hit my head. When I went to the reception to get a bandaid it became clear that this happens relatively often.

Great spot in Lucerne!
Pros:

Wonderful hotel convenient to the train station and to the old city, but in a quiet spot. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Access to the old city was wonderful for our 1-night stay before traveling on to the mountains for hiking.

Wonderful stay at Cascada!
Pros:

Wonderful stay at Cascada. Very convenient to train station and all of downtown sights. All of the workers were very friendly helpful- special shoutout to Amelia and Elena! Breakfast buffet was filled with delicious items- especially ice to have made to order eggs! Nice touches like souvenir water bottles!

Our room was located extremely close to the railway tracks, resulting in very loud and disruptive noise from passing trains, particularly the harsh braking sounds. We requested a room change because of the excessive noise, but the front desk did not take any action or offer any solution.

In addition, the soundproofing of the room was extremely poor. We could constantly hear footsteps and furniture or other objects being moved in the room above us, which caused further disturbance throughout our stay.
