Great location and service - look no further
Pros:

This was our second stay at this hotel and I expect to return again. It’s well-located, offers easy access and superior amenities. Our room (junior suite) was much larger than I expected, especially the bathroom and was complete with marble, large windows, seating area and dual closets. The executive lounge is also a highlight for us as Bonvoy elite members, offering a nice breakfast and evening options and all-day drinks and space to relax. The staff is friendly and helpful and housekeeping was prompt and efficient.

Good location
Pros:

The location was great and the room spacious, however we were given a room that seemed to be with accomodations for handicap which was not comfortable for us as the closet did not have full size, the sink was low and the shower had no doors and water spilled everywhere. Not sure why we were given this room but other than that the accomodations were good

Amazing stay
Pros:

Wonderful hotel! This hotel is well located in the Opera district close to various metro lines and numerous major sites. It was great to be able to easily walk around the area.

The room was clean but keep in mind it is European sized. The bathroom looked remodeled and was wonderful. An interior room was nice and quiet.

I recommend the breakfast! The staff, especially Rajeeb, are very friendly and service oriented. Good selection of breakfast foods and made to order eggs. Definitely was a perfect way to start the day!

The Executive Lounge has an amazing view of the city including the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur. They do offer breakfast there too but we preferred the restaurant. The offerings for drinks are a bit limited but they do have a happy hour service as well. The space is excellent for a little reprieve or place to work.

Definitely will be booking here again!

A Wonderfull Stay at the Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador
Pros:

I spent a week in Paris with my 16yo and chose this hotel for its central location. I’d never stayed in this area and figured a quick walk would get us anywhere we wanted to be. We were very happy with the choice. The hotel is located a leisurely 20 minute walk to the Louvre and Seine River where we explored various museums and just took in the sites. It was a 40 minute walk to the Arc de Triomphe and 50 minutes to the Eiffel Tower. It’s also located in the bustling opera district where we saw a show, shopped at the Galeries Lafayette, and found several excellent restaurants. We walked everywhere and returned to a great hotel.

The hotel itself is lovely and full of character. It feels small and intimate when first arriving. But as we explored, we found it to be quite big with plenty of cozy spots in which to unwind after a long day. The bar was a terrific place for us to drink mocktails and read our books. Our room was immaculate each day and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The staff was so friendly and helpful.

The downsides? We arrived in Paris on Day 1 of the record setting heat dome. So like every other establishment in the city, the air conditioning struggled to cool the building. We were quite hot several nights but once the outside temps started dipping below 90 at night the system performed much better. Marriott was also suffering a widespread computer issue when we first arrived. So after a long night and day of travel we were unable to check-in immediately. However, the team kindly allowed us to rest in the executive lounge for a bit until they were able to sort everything out. Neither of these things were enough to break our smiles though considering how nice everyone was while trying to help us.

We had a wonderful adventure in Paris and staying in this hotel was the main reason we were able to see and do so much. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and mostly English-speaking establishment.

Pro tip: wait for the elevator to lift you to your floor from the lobby; however, take the central stairway down. The building was retrofitted, the elevators are small (4 person max), and take time. When everyone on the upper floors calls the elevator to take them down nobody gets to ride the elevator.

Thank you Esther & Paris Marriott Opera team!
Pros:

During the unprecedented heatwave, my family and I had to make an emergency pivot out of our AirBnB into the Marriott. The experience was fantastic (except for a minor false fire alarm) and the team at Marriott made this trip so memorable. Merci MILLE FOIS to Esther for her amazing service! We hope to see you again.

Unpleasant stay in Paris
Pros:

The room we were assigned had an air conditioner that was running and not putting out cold air during an extreme heat event. This room should not have been used. After coming to our roommate at night the staff said no other rooms open but this would be fixed or we could move the following day. It was extremely uncomfortable to say the least. The following day it felt even hotter, I asked if fixed when we were out, seems like that was forgotten. Eventually we moved to a room with a functioning ac. What a difference! Anyway I asked to be reimbursed for that night and was given 1/2 off only, still had to pay $400 roughly for the first night. It was so disappointing, mainly the response which was lacking until a guest relations person called. Still felt I should not have paid. I am a titanium elite member and never had this experience at a Marriott. Next trip to France will stay elsewhere.

I’m really sorry, to say this, I have been to many Marriott hotels, the way I was treated in this hotel was really awful.

Excellent Experience; Excellent AC
Pros:

Our stay at the Paris Marriott Opéra Ambassador Hotel was exceptional. The rooms were modern, comfortable, and—most importantly during the unprecedented Paris heat wave—beautifully air-conditioned.

What truly made the experience special was the staff. Everyone was attentive and welcoming, but Mohamed Farid went above and beyond. He made a point of getting to know us personally and consistently checked in to ensure we had everything we needed. His hospitality made us feel genuinely valued.

It was also fun staying at a hotel with Olympic history. During the 2024 Summer Olympics, Team USA Basketball took over the property, and it's easy to see why. I heard even LeBron James and Stephen Curry enjoyed staying here! Between the outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and great location, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on my next trip to Paris.

Never disappoints !
Pros:

Another lovely visit to our first choice hotel in Paris. We arrived in the middle of a heatwave where we discovered most restaurants in Paris do not have functioning air conditioning but thankfully the hotel does. Our room was cool (perhaps a few degrees cooler would have been even better!).
As always we made full use of the Executive Lounge where a pleasant atmosphere is made even more of a pleasure by the lovely Valerie and her team who take an interest in guests and genuinely care about whether their guest are happy.
We have been coming to this property now twice a year for a number of years and have never been disappointed. Already booked our next stay

Perfect hotel in great location
Pros:

★★★★★ Outstanding Stay in the Heart of Paris

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect—close to so many of Paris's top attractions, restaurants, and shopping, making it easy to explore the city.

The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable, and every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and professional.

A special thank you to the concierge team, who went above and beyond to help us throughout our stay. Their recommendations and assistance made our trip even more enjoyable. The group events team was also absolutely spectacular, ensuring everything ran seamlessly for our large group.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Paris. Highly recommended!

Pros:

天井が高く、広い部屋でくつろぐことができた。立地がよいホテルなので12年前にも宿泊した。

Cons:

1927年に建てられたホテルということで、設備の古さが気になった。バスタブのお湯を排水すると、洗面台がボコボコと音を立てていた。

4 Star hotel: 3 Star service (they’re pleasant though)
Pros:

Checked in last night and was happy with my room and elite guest check-in. This morning I enquired about the many signs advertising an Elite members event tonight (picture attached) and thought what a nice gesture. It went downhill from there. I asked this morning where the Mogador Room was located and was told on L1. At 5:10 pm I decided to have a glass of champagne and check it out. No one in concierge or general area seemed to know where it was being held, even though there was a giant poster by the elevators, which I pointed to and another sign on the reception counter. I asked a guy who appeared to be security and even walked him to the sign and he said “oh it’s in the lounge on 8”. I went to the lounge and clearly that was not the venue. (By the way no staff there busing tables so pretty messy). I went back to the lobby and finally found someone who pointed me to the room near the security guy who sent me to 8 was standing. Open door and finally signs. By now it was about 5:15 pm so I asked for a glass of the advertised champagne and was told “we don’t have it yet. It will come when the food comes out”. I asked why they advertised a 5 pm event and yet were not ready for it. I left and came back. A guy approached me, I told him my story and he had to ask where the champagne was. Finally a glass and I asked him if he worked there and he said “yes, I’m the GM”. WOW I explained that I work for a 5 Star resort and know about property marketing opportunities. The only response was “we’re a 4 star property”. I’m sad for the work ethic here. Nice people but clueless. A few last comment: I told housekeeping that all I needed was fresh towels. She removed the damp ones and instead of hanging new ones properly just piled them on the sink. When trying to find the location of the event I went to the Elite check in counter where a guy was on the phone. Instead of acknowledging me when he concluded his call, he just got up and walked away, never returning.

Excellent stay in perfect location.
Pros:

Excellent stay. Very good location, great soundproofing in the rooms, outstanding executive lounge experience.

Our room (111? 101?) had a crack in the ceiling that is likely very easy to fix but, it did not truly detract from our experience.

I love the bottle refilling station on our floor, and I love the security of the location.

A great hotel to stay in Paris.
Pros:

The Marriott Opera Ambassador has been my go-to place in Paris for many years now. My wife likes its location near the Grands Magasins, and generally speaking, we both find it extremely convenient to get around. The hotel is very comfortable, with updated rooms and bathrooms, an AC that works very well (a rarity in Paris), and attentive and helpful staff. The Executive Lounge as well as the restaurant have a very nice breakfast spread, and the lounge has a great view on the Eiffel Tower from one side, and the Sacred Heart Basilica in Montmartre on the other side. There's more good stuff to be said, but the fact that we keep going back there says it all.
