Overall, my stay was fairly average.
I had fully prepaid and reserved a suite in advance. After a 14-hour intercontinental flight, I arrived at the hotel early in the morning feeling extremely fatigued. I was hoping for a smooth check-in process or at least a clear arrangement regarding the room. However, I only received my room at 4:00 PM, which was one hour later than the hotel’s stated check-in time of 3:00 PM. During this period, there was no explanation provided for the delay, nor any expression of apology, which was somewhat disappointing.
As a Marriott Platinum Elite member, I also did not noticeably experience any membership recognition or benefits during this stay, which differed from my experiences at other hotels of a similar category.
That said, there were positive aspects worth noting. The hotel’s location is convenient, with easy access to shopping and transportation. The room facilities are relatively new, and the heated towel rack in the bathroom was a thoughtful touch.
Areas for improvement would include the shower water pressure, which was rather weak, and the breakfast quality, which felt below the standard of comparable hotels in the same tier. The executive lounge, however, was pleasant and comfortable overall.
In summary, while the stay was acceptable, there is room for improvement, particularly in service attentiveness and elite member recognition.

The hotel facilities are honestly more in line with a three-star property. Compared with other Marriott hotels, this one feels relatively basic — the rooms are small, a bit outdated, and we experienced several issues during our one-week stay, including plumbing problems and various noise disturbances.
That said, I want to give five stars to the front desk manager, Methlada.
Throughout our stay, she was incredibly helpful and proactive in addressing the many issues we encountered. She assisted us in changing rooms and showed us multiple options so we could choose the most suitable one. Her responsiveness, patience, and problem-solving attitude truly stood out. Among Marriott staff I’ve met, her dedication and professionalism are absolutely top-tier.
While the hardware may not live up to expectations, Methlada’s outstanding service made a significant difference in our experience.
Great hotel - location is ideal and everyone is most accommodating. Highly recommend it for business or pleasure.
Our stay at the Paris Marriott Opera Ambassador Hotel was wonderful especially as it was my niece’s first visit to Paris. The welcome was warm and polished, and every team member made her feel so at home.
When an unexpected noise issue outside the hotel’s control arose, leadership kindly met with me in person, listened, and offered a thoughtful solution that truly worked for us. The sense of urgency and care from front desk to restaurant kept our stay spectacular.
Thank you for making her first Paris memories so special. We’ll be back!
We had an amazing stay! It’s our second visit to the hotel and we will definitely be back again next year. The hotel is beautiful, our room was lovely and really good food, drink and atmosphere in the executive lounge. Oh my goodness what a shock to come in and see not one person I recognize recognized! I come here quite a lot because I live in CAEN France. Of course I’m from the United States but I live in Caen. We come here a lot. I was just here in January. Everything was fine. I think I stayed two or three days. So we come quite often because this is the first place we stay we love coming to Paris. We’re only a two hour train right away….. but what a disaster! I will tell you about that later we go to the executive room nobody we know is there except the wonderful Valerie shows up!!! She is so dynamic in her responsibility with customers. I can’t tell you we see Valerie every time and there’s another person. His name is. Keshon I think who we did not see and I’m worried that he’s not there anymore anymore.! it’s just a total different atmosphere. They did my room. They messed my room all up the so-called I don’t know manager or supervisor that I talked to about my room did not listen to any of my concerns. I think her name is Donera or something. I don’t know. I kept trying to read her badge but believe me that’s not the same hotel that it has been all these years so we have come the only other person I recognized for the concierge guy, the older man he was the one after it was redone for I don’t know five years when we came one day we said we’d like to see what’s going on. He gave us a wonderful tour said everything‘s been redone And he was really great as well, but everybody else is gone from the ones that come outside to greet you. It’s just shocking and the Customer Service is not there.!!!! not like before where they greet you they recognize you they it’s just don’t come here. It’s not worth it anymore. Go to the Hilton next to the Saint Lazarre Train Station. They’re wonderful !
This is our second stay at Marriott Opera Paris, and once again it exceeded our expectations. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes such a difference. The location is perfect! you’re right in the heart of everything.

The Marriott Opera Ambassador appears newly renovated and impeccably clean. The staff was consistently warm, professional, and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. If we return to Paris, this hotel will absolutely be our first choice.
Access to the Executive Lounge was a wonderful perk — we enjoyed breakfast there each morning and relaxed with evening drinks on several nights. It truly enhanced our experience. Overall, the hotel could not have taken better care of us.

Front office staff were all very friendly and helpful, special mention to Elizir and Mohamed who were very engaging and made sure that we met our expectations. Location is great, 3-5 minutes walk from Galleries Lafayette and Opera Garnier. Would definitely stay again at this property.
