Breakfast was at the Old Swan pub, a 2 min walk from The Mill.
Standard food.
We chose the yogurt & granola - about half the size portion expected!
Full English was good, as expected. Though my husband was a little disappointed that it didn't come with toast.
Minster Lovell is a beautiful little village.
That the staff where super friendly helpful and easy to chat with. The spar team did an amazing job and had plenty to use with the facility.
Our fridge didn't work and you had vegan options but would be great for non vegan option for example the breakfast pancakes.
Dużo przestrzeni na spacery, świetne .iejsce żeby odpocząć. Dobre śniadanie, klimatycznie
Brak klimatyzacji. Trochę ciasno przy drzwiach wyjściowych z pokoju.
There was no cold drinks in the bar all the alcohol was warm and the fridge in the room didn’t work
Stunning location
Beautiful buildings
Lovely walks
A few points- no bar at the Mill section - had to walk over to swan pub across road and walk back if u wanted to sit by river.
Breakfast was continental, it was extra payment for anything else.
No TV remote in our room
1 bedside lamp not working
Very limited alcohol on draft and when served I had to ask for my bottle of cider to be opened and for a glass with ice, it was not offered
The restaurant was lovely - great food! The buildings were very pretty.
There was a sewage leak in the car park but that’s not on them.
The spa is a treatment only spa, meaning that for £275 for one night the stay did not include being able to visit the spa - really dissapointing.
The room was fine but again - £275 for one night is crazy, we expected more
Great location and lovely setting close to Burford and surrounding areas
The rooms had no air conditioning so it was very hot and the tv did not work.
Location excellent.
Room was a little tired. Could do with painting & carpet cleaned
Breakfast was not that good
When we booked on the website-it included breakfast however when we checked in - we where only informed that it was a Continental breakfast
Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. We didn't have time really sample the facilities or food as we were on a flying visit, but it impressed us so much we'll be back.
That we didn't have time
The restaurant was fantastic the staff the food the environment and the grounds were lovely. Reception were brilliant. The location was perfect for what we wanted.
As guests we couldn’t use the spa without booking a treatment. The room was extremely warm and the fan provided wasn’t great. The fridge did not work. The shower was held up with a plastic bag tied around it. There were spiders webs and dust around. The WiFi cut out every 2 minutes.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel, the first time in the pub this time in the hotel, both are good in every aspect.
Relived to see a fan in the room as the weather was beautiful but would of been uncomfortable at night if there hadn't of been air conditioning or a fan.
Delicious meal in the restaurant at night.
We upgraded for the Full Breakfast and Salmon / Scrambled Eggs - had to pay extra - felt this was wrong as was advertised as breakfast included but it wasn't specific enough to say the Continental Breakfast was only included.
We were charged £10 each on the morning of the breakfast but if we had booked breakfast the day before it would of been £8.00 each.
The staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, but we're inadequately trained.
I rang the hotel after booking to ensure the 2 rooms I booked had walk-in showers and to book a table at the Wilding restaurant. These were confirmed.
On arrival, we found our rooms didn't have walk-in showers. Our room had no phone, so I had to use the other room's phone to report the issue. The other room, despite being the same type and price, was for reasons the staff couldn't explain, some 50% larger than ours.
Rooms with walk-in showers were eventually found. One 'Classic' (ie small) and one 'Superior', which had a TV, but no signal.
We met up with friends in the bar above the Wilding and I asked for the drinks to be added to our restaurant bill. That led to the discovery that we didn't have a booking in the Wilding, the hotel had made our reservation in the Swan pub. A table was hastily laid and we had our (overpriced) meal. It was by then not a surprise to find the wine we chose from the menu was not available.
We hadn't pre-booked breakfast, our waiter said it's cheaper to book in advance at reception. Reception at the pub (where breakfast held) couldn't explain how pricing worked for breakfast, had to call someone. We decided to play it by ear in the morning.
One of the most bizarre and unsatisfactory overnight stays we've experienced. Needless to say, we do not recommend this hotel.
The location is perfect!!! The village is stunning and quiet
The coffee machine in the room didn’t work and neither did the phone to ring reception
The village and buildings
Very tired on the outside. Badminton court is just an old wire.
Hot / cooked breakfast was an extra £10 per person. Not advertised correctly as the room included breakfast, a continental breakfast, yet this hotel is located in Great Britain.
Nice place central to our trip
Room was musky dirty paint peeling off walls maids didn’t clean room all weekend
