Pros:

Sehr nettes Personal, tolle Lage.

Cons:

Im Frühstücksraum war bisschen Chaos....kleiner Raum, kaum Personal und alle mussten lange draußen warten, bis ein Tisch frei wird. Am nächsten Tag haben wir im Lounge Club gefrühstückt, da war besser. Personal hat sich aber bemüht, die Situation im Griff zu behalten.

Sehr zentrales Hotel mit eigener Parkmöglichkeit und leckerem Frühstück. Gibt es aktuell aber nur a la carte.

Cons:

Schon in die Jahre gekommen was die Farben in den Zimmern betrifft. Aber zum Glück nicht so abgewohnt.

Reasonably satisfied, could have been better
Pros:

Room size, very central location, ease to getting to train station

Cons:

Breakfast options , fairly tired decor, fairly mundane welcome when we arrived, was initially told I hadn’t prepaid , charged my credit card for the second time although did receive call to room shortly thereafter to apologise and confirm that charge was being reversed

Bad bad bad. Run.
Pros:

Very poor experience. We were able to get our room immediately, so no issues checking in. However, most everything after that was pretty poor. They advertise having king beds or double beds. We paid for the king bed, but upon going to the room, we find out that it is 'standard' king, meaning almost a queen size bed. Not what we thought we paid for. The room's door was not fully closed at the bottom, probably because the floor itself was not straight. They decided to just install the door as is, and leave the bottom of it as is. As a result, every little noise in the hallway was in the room, no privacy.

We immediately reported it, were told it would be fixed or we would be moved to another room the next day, which never happened.

For the breakfast, they were understaffed, leaving people waiting to be seated while the diner was completely empty (with many tables simply waiting to be cleaned so that people can be seated), people fending for themselves, grabbing coffee from the server's area etc. Overall, there are much better places in Ottawa, and unless every other hotel is fully book, you should never consider this place.

Also: their shampoo, conditioner etc. has a heavy male-centric smell. I am not used to such strong smell that is not flowery (it was like putting after shave all over me). Almost induced a mini-migraine. For women not used to that, it can be a bother.

Pros:

Hotel lindíssimo, comida mto boa, camas confortáveis, banheiro grande, excelente localização da pra fazer tudo a pé. Permitido animais inclusive no restaurante para café da manhã

Cons:

Assento sanitário extremamente baixo, papel higiênico de pessima qualidade. Pouquíssimas pessoas na equipe falam francês.

Very dissapointed overall. Short staffed, long wait times, late check in, not poor room quality

Good location, close to the centre

Cons:

The check in was very late, we arrived at 2pm, check in time stated at 3pm, but they only were able to give us a room by 8pm, after we lodged a few complaints and multiple attempts to contact staff for an update. Nobody kept us informed, we were super tired and didn’t have a room to rest, after 5 hour trip. They kept saying hotel is over capacity and under staffed.
However, we booked our room 2 months in advance. Breakfast restaurant was under staffed and we had to wait a long time for our drinks and food.
The pool was closed and the fitness room didn’t have an accessible button. There was insufficient lighting in the room. Towels didn’t seem fresh and poor quality.

More suited for business travelers than tourists
Pros:

It was clean and good enough for a comfortable sleeping

Cons:

Location: probably my mistake for not doing enough research, but this is definitely more of a business hotel in the business district rather than a tourist area. I’d recommend finding something in the ByWard Market area instead.
As for parking, probably 50% of cars nowadays won’t fit under the height limit, and the policy is basically “find your own solution.”
The pool has been closed since I booked 5 or 6 months ago. I assumed it would probably be open again by the time we got here, so that’s on me for not checking again before the trip.
