Location is amazing. So convenient for exploring the centre of Brisbane. Breakfast was a well stocked buffet with a lot of options and some interesting home made options. Staff were friendly.
The bathroom was rather dated and showing numerous signs of wear. We have stayed in simple roadside motels with better bathrooms than this. The hotel provided a notice to guests that they are going to be doing some changes later this year, hopefully that includes refurbishing the ensuites.
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Brisbane
A bit of lack of attention around the hotel, a plate outside the 25th floor lounge was still there one day after. Also the mini fridges in our 2 suites were turned off. Probably just an oversight but still.
Beautiful hotel. The kids loved the glass lifts, and I loved the valet parking. We only stayed one to attend a concert at riverstage, great location and only a short walk to the venue.

Location: It is central to everything including shops, restaurants, public transport. It is accessible from Queens Mall street via lifts, in addition to Elizabeth street.
2. Reception staff - We were pleased with the check in and out service by the young lady at the reception lady (forgot her name). She was friendly and helpful.
1. The place is dated. The room we got first day had an old carpet. It was not smelling right. My daughter fell sick the next day as she is allergic to smell and dust. She required medical attention. We requested a change of room on the 3rd day. The reception lady helped us to get a room with a newer carpet.
2. Overcharged - At check out on Saturday morning, i was told by the same lady at the reception that all is good. Payment will be charged from my visa card for the amount indicated on the Booking.com. i didn't collect receipt. We left Australia on Saturday evening. On Monday, I was surpprised to see an overcharge of AUD 43.15. I disputed the overcharge on the ground that we didn't use extra service (including the minibar- actually the minibar was emptied at my request as I was not comfortable with variety of small bottled alcohols in the presence of my kids). Case number was created but IHG never got back to me for the last one month. A simple explanation might have solved it. Unfortunately, it might have appeared too small to worry about for IHG customer sevice. Take home message, don't leave the place without receipt. The overcharge is not big money. It could have been a difficult matter with no response from customer service if the amount is higher.
