Pros:

Location is great! The bar has a nice atmosphere and the staff is friendly and professional. The wallet was nice and fast, responsive.

Cons:

We thought the premisses were air conditioned too cold! The bathrooms seem to be little outdated with a bath tub step in shower and shower curtains. The shower curtains seemed nice, but the overall feel of the inner plastic curtain just seems little unhygienic.
The guests should have ability to call the front desk from the hotel phone. Every time you need to call the front desk or wallet, you have to go through annoying AI.

Love The Riverside Hotel
Pros:

We have stayed at the Riverside Hotel many times over the past 10 years. Cannot wait to return. A grand , stately hotel , beautifully furnished & decorated! Super location on the river. The dining & drink options are all good - something for everyone no matter what time of day. Food at te Boathouse is well prepared & delicious. Lastly the staff - all, front desk, valets, housekeeping , servers , bartenders are all great , gracious & accommodating - all appear so happy to be partaking in hospitality & all do a great job. The Riverside is the only place to stay when visiting Ft Lauderdale.

Hidden Charges at checkout
Pros:

I very much enjoyed my stay at Riversdie Hotel. The location was perfect.
However, when I checked in, the hotel required me to authorize a $100 charge on my credit card. I asked why I was authoring the charge. I was told it would be used to cover any incidental charges I might incur. When I checked out, there was a $25 charge ($28.25 with taxes) per night to cover the drink ticket I was given. This is a HIDDEN CHARGE that guests pay without any disclosure.
I did have a satisfying Fish and Chips lunch served by the bartender, Deb.

First class hotel
Pros:

The hotel is lovely with spacious rooms.
Its location on the river but close to shopping was ideal.
I left some items in the room safe and the front desk took good care of them and promptly sent them back to me.
I would definitely book again!

Never disappoints!
Pros:

Wonderful hotel, have stayed at Riverside several times, and have found the staff outstanding. Special recognition goes to Quinto who was so friendly, professional and provided a warm welcome. Bars, coffee shops, and adjacent restaurants provide everything you need for a wonderful stay. If I had to think of one suggestion, it would be that complimentary brewed coffee in the beautiful lobby would be most welcome.
