The staff was incredibly nice and helpful! Even got a text message wondering if the stay is going well and if there was anything they could assist us with.
The rooms were cute and I loved how creative the themes were. If i had a hotel I would 100% do something like that.
Everything was cleaned to a respectable standard (however I dont think the cleaning people can see the little shelf in the high corner of the shower.)
The cookies were great too!
Loved the parking garage.
The location is PERFECT for downtown activities.
The restaurant attached is very very good.
There really isnt alot you can do with some things that come with an old building like that. The ac was noisy but worked. The tvs volume diddnt go up very high but probably for the better. The walls seem thin but our neighbors were courteous.
The pillows were so cushy but could definitely use a firmer one behind it for support. The blankets on the bed were very thin.
For the minor drawbacks I dont think the experience was bad at all.
Upon check in I immediately knew some of the reviews were accurate. There were water or other marks on a table leftover from the previous person, food crumbs on the carpet and debris on the floor in the bathroom. Some charcoal looking stuff on the shower ledge. The sink counter and toilet seat looked clean. Luckily I travel with disinfectant wipes so I just wiped everything down. What really drew the line for me was opening the bed up to find stuff on the bottom sheet. Called down to the front desk and about 30 min later someone showed up to first inspect, then disappeared again, returned again with the sheet they should have brought in the first place, threw off the top covers and put them on the floor, put the pillows on the air conditioning unit that I hadnt wiped off, and went to replace the bottom sheet only to find it had something on it also and had to come back. Then the person put the blanket from the floor back on my bed with the pillows and just left. They didnt speak much English but I was upset all over again from having stuff on the bed from a clearly unvacuumed floor. At this point the standards were apparent and I wasnt sure moving rooms would be any better so I just took out the travel lysol and sprayed the bedding and pillows. While that aired out I showered and it was cold. Turning to hot did nothing but make it lukewarm, however the shuddering noise in the wall was discomforting. The decor here is pitched as eclectic but feels like its trying too hard and not quite succeeding. Its more like lipstick on a pig. Yes, reviews that the elevators are slow are also true. Its also true that the walls are thin. As I write this its 330am and I am awake because the neighbors tv is on and I can clearly hear it through the wall over the fan. About the only bright spot has been the attached Corner Office restaurant where I had decent food one day. Would not stay again and definitely wouldnt bring a family here due to those wandering or staying on the streets all around.
The location is excellent for walking around downtown Denver.
Property was good.
It’s centrally located, walkable and has its own parking garage
It is overly kitschy, the rooms are renovated but still feel worn and the staff is slightly more concerned with their phones and entertaining each other than the guests
Best location in Denver!

Parking
Our family had a fantastic stay at the Curtis. I was apprehensive to book here because of the many bad reviews, but I’m glad I did. The rooms, halls and lobby are themed and it is fun. The restaurant/bar is very good and the gym was quite large for a hotel of this size. Other reviewers complained about the elevators and loud air conditioners. The elevators were no problem and although the air conditioner was loud, it wasn’t a problem for us. I think this is an old hotel building that Hilton refurbished and it still has a few old hotel quirks, but otherwise it’s wonderful for the location, price and amenities.
Location was good
Phone didn't work
Fridge didn't work
No cold water at bathroom sink
Nothing to do at the hotel
Parking very expensive
Location, the decor
The hotel was cute and central
I got a different room than what I booked for and would not be moved, and the elevator system is very slow throughout the day.
I travel a ton for business and this has to be the most disappointing hotel stay I’ve had. The room had an overall grimy feel. The room and bathroom felt dirty and rundown. The decor was odd and felt like a cheap way to add lipstick to a pig. I was not able to get hot water in the shower every time I tried both the last night and final morning I was there. Finally, the walls are so thin that I had to hear the person in the room next door throwing up while I was trying to sleep. Imagine being woken up to that.
I will say that the gentleman at the front desk when I checked in was very polite and accommodating. Also, the bar and restaurant were nice, food was good, and bartenders were fun.
