Stayed here when my flight got cancelled. The woman at the front desk, Manizha, was excellent and super helpful with helping me find some great dining options nearby. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It’s a great location next to the Spy Museum and just a quick drive from DCA.
Best Housekeeping ever! Most quiet Hotel ever! Specifically it was quiet at night, when you want to sleep. I loved the aesthethic! Very pleasant employees and visitors. This is my first time in DMV as an adult. So, I am not sure about how ideal the location was. It definitely wasn't a bad neighborhood. The only thing that I can be critical of is the view. It was just okay. If the Riverview Rooms at the Embassy Suites in Old Sacramento are great, then the views here are just meh.
We stayed here for three nights over the Fourth of July weekend and had a great experience. The hotel’s location is one of its biggest advantages. It’s within walking distance of the National Mall, The Wharf, and many of Washington, D.C.‘s most popular attractions, making it a perfect home base for sightseeing. There’s also a L’Enfant Plaza Metro Station directly across from the hotel, making it easy to get around the city without a car.
When I booked our stay, the only room available had two king beds. About a week before our arrival, I contacted the hotel and asked if they could note in our reservation to switch us to a room with one king bed if one became available. Our request had been accommodated at check-in. Our room had a comfortable king bed and great views. Under normal circumstances, the view may have been fairly standard, but during the Fourth of July weekend we had a unique vantage point of some of the festivities.
The room was updated, spacious, and very comfortable. There is a Starbucks conveniently located inside the hotel—it was perfect for grabbing coffee before heading out each morning. Although we didn’t have a chance to dine at the hotel’s restaurant, everything else about our stay met our expectations. The only minor challenge we encountered was with Uber pickups. Several drivers had difficulty locating the hotel entrance, and we were told the hotel signage can be a bit confusing. It’s not a major issue, but it’s something future guests may want to keep in mind when requesting rides.
We especially appreciated the late checkout and the ability to leave our luggage with the valet team after checking out, allowing us to enjoy a few more hours exploring the city before heading to the airport. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. The great location, comfortable accommodations, and excellent customer service made this a hotel we would gladly choose again on our next trip to Washington, D.C.
i loved everything!!!

Phenomenal customer service, friendly and helpful! Great location, beautiful, comfortable rooms. Immaculate and well kept
Great hotel with wonderful service, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, and just a very short walk to the DC Metro. All of the staff we talked to and encountered were super helpful and friendly. Manizha was particularly helpful and kind when we got back late to our hotel and were wanting to get a few groceries but didn't want to walk too far. She used her own DoorDash app to help us order groceries. (We paid her back of course. 😊) We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Excellent location close to all the attractions we wanted to visit

Location and cleanliness
Lack of food options in the evening.
Pool closing at 8
Makayla, Josh, and the entire front desk staff were so great to us. From the jump, they made us feel right at home. Helped us navigate the DC food scene, worked with us when our flight was cancelled, and were delightful every time we bothered them with one of our many questions :-)
The hotel was perfect. The best location for the Wharf and National Mall, adjoined to a food court mall (our daughters appreciated that) and the spy museum. Pool was awesome. Wish we could've stayed in DC even longer!
Spent two fantastic nights at the Hilton Washington DC National Mall The Wharf, and the location near The Wharf couldn't have been better. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and provided the perfect setup to unwind after a full day in the city. Top-notch service and great overall vibe, definitely a place I’d come back to without hesitation.
Makayla was exceedingly helpful in everything we needed! I feel like she was working every time I needed something from getting directions to the nearest Catholic Church to helping us understand the Metro! Everyone was all so very helpful. When we come back we are definitely staying here !! God Bless you all and God Bless America !!
The hotel is awesome. Very clean, prime location. We were able to walk to the wharf where all the restaurants were. There was a CVS near the Wharf and that's always a plus if needed. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
One of the maids had a.slight attitude because she had to clean our room after hours. Somehow house keeping didn't get the message that we wanted our room.cleaned.
This is a fabulous hotel. Our rooms were corner suites, which were very spacious. Just a few blocks from the National Mall and directly above a Metro station. Had outstanding housekeeping service every day and a great breakfast buffet.
This is a gorgeous Hylton. The best I have stayed in to date. Directly behind the Spy Museum. Hidden Gem. I will come again.
150,000 Hylton Honors points for Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. $18 dollars off for meals or 1000 points.
Treat yourself to elegance.
Hilton markets this hotel as "an elevator ride from DC's largest Metro station." That is only true during the L'Enfant Plaza mall's business hours, roughly 8:30 AM to 7 PM. Outside those hours the interior corridors of the l'enfant plaza are locked, and the only route from the Metro requires three flights of outdoor stairs winding around an unmarked elevated plaza and past some amusing #lostinlenfant graffiti.
That route is not usable for wheelchair users, guests with mobility limitations, or anyone with luggage.
It took us over an hour to reach the front desk with our bags and start checking in from the time we arrived at the station on the metro.
We arrived in the evening, hit locked doors at the food court, and I had to navigate back to street level and hunt for the entrance hidden on a one-way loop road behind the Spy Museum, with no signage anywhere, just to reach the front desk and find the way. To the staff's credit, once I got there, receptionist Thanh went above and beyond. He met my companion and our bags at the locked corridor and escorted her through. But even that did not fully solve the problem: the elevator on the far side of the food court apparently shuts off around 11 PM, so Thanh disappeared with our bags on a cart, told us to meet him at the front desk, and reappeared ten minutes later visibly worn out from the journey. We truly appreciated his help, and no employee should have to make that trek because of a building access failure.
Staff told us the locked after-hours access is due to a dispute with the DC government, and that the same dispute even prevents posting a sign at the locked corridor. A sign with the front desk phone number would have spared us most of this frustration. Guests have reported this exact problem since 2019.
To be clear, the location itself is outstanding. The hotel was an amazing hub for visiting the Capitol and the National Mall attractions and served us well the entire stay. The rooms were fine and the staff, especially Thanh, were excellent. That is exactly why the arrival experience is so frustrating: a hotel whose headline amenity is Metro access needs that access to work when guests actually arrive, and it needs an accessible after-hours route, not outdoor stairs. At minimum, disclose the Metro connection hours at booking and fix the signage. Fix this, and the hotel earns the five stars its location deserves.
