I feel bad leaving such a low review however my experience was overwhelmingly frustrating. In general the staff was very nice excluding management and communication

Cons:

Very unprofessional and condescending billing staff. No answers on the phone. Calls dropping after 2 weeks of attempts to correct a duplicate billing including assurances by a manager all would be handled.

Lovely hotel with comfortable beds and, close to everything you would want in Newport Beach.
Pros:

Room service breakfast was good, the grilled chicken sandwich for a late-night snack was really good. and we dined at SET, it was nice but extremely loud so don't go on a busy night for intimate conversation. And make sure to choose outdoor especially if dining at night. The pool was nicely heated and the jacuzzi at night with the fireplace on was lovely. And there is a "host" bar and fridge, in your room but only for looking lol otherwise you may get a "surprise" on your departure, easily overturned. Had a great time, went for a concert nearby for the weekend and will be back to experience the spa.

Worst eggs I have encountered anywhere
Pros:

Avoid anything that has eggs at the breakfast at SET restaurant. Eggs are rotten and literally inedible on 2 different dates. Friend of ours thought that my child defecated in his diaper when in actuality it was the smell of the eggs.
Overpriced hotel for what you get. Have to valet for $65 a night. Limited eating options at the hotel, nickle and dimed for everything, and inaccurate billing. Chase hotel credits have limited use so I don’t suggest you book the hotel with Chase Edit.

Amazing Hotel

I would like to sincerely thank the Pendry staff, especially Conor helping our reservation & Kahlil. As promise,

Conor make sure our room was deep clean, quiet with a nice view!! We love our room and really enjoy our stay!!

Kahlil was truly amazing during our check in, handling everything with calm & professionalism despite everything going on with ambulance & police presence. He remained calm, composed and reassuring during our check in.

Everyone at Pendry was equally impressive, attentive and genuinely caring toward al the guests including us! You truly make us feel like home, and we hope Pendry will become our holiday home for many years to come.

Pampering in the Heart of Newport Fashion Island
Pros:

Wow--what a wonderful hotel. Friendly and helpful staff all around. Beautiful holiday decorations. The fitness center rivals my dedicated gym. Comfy beds. Good nightlife (well, as far as I could tell before going to bed at 9:30--I'm old!).

Loyal customers that feel very disappointed
Pros:

Over the past few years, my family and I frequent the Pendry twice a year for a week at a time to visit family that are nearby. We have always enjoyed our stay and staff are very kind and helpful. We were planning to visit again for the holidays but had to cancel last minute due to a sick kid. While I understand they have cancellation policies, we felt very disappointed that they charged us a penalty and wouldn't consider any accommodation for our situation and how loyal we have been to their property. We even explained to them that we were planning to visit later during the holidays but couldn't reserve dates until we were more certain our kid got better. We would have at least felt heard if management were willing to speak to us directly on the phone to understand our situation. We feel torn because we wanted to continue our biannual tradition of staying there, but need to strongly reconsider now.
