The location, cleanliness and polite staff
That they were not allowed to call us a cab

Had an approved late check out but house keeping was banging on our door over an hour before we needed to check out. Even with the do not disturb sign on the door.
The room was about the same size as a shoe box.
The bathroom had a sliding barn door that didn’t stop any moisture or smells from getting into the shoebox sized room.
Booking a room with a jacuzzi tub and king size bed should have been a great experience. It was beyond disappointing.
Location. Continental Breakfast but with Gluten Free Options. Free coffee.
The Building inrerior was old, and needs lots of renovations. The corridors were dark and scary a bit. The room was spacious but with an unnecessary door to neighbouring room which didnot make it Sound Proof. The bathroom was too much small.
We needed a hotel where we could have our post-op daughter stay with us. Finding a hotel in the city at this time of year is virtually impossible. The Best Western had the availability that we needed, and they were able to get us checked in early so our daughter could lay down.

Old design - needs an update. Spa tub jets and water pressure underwhelming. Turned over in bed and was greeted by a millipede on the pillow next to me. Room wasn’t cleaned well, sticky stuff on handle of drawer, dust bunnies on the floor in front of heater and found remnant of someone else’s earring under the blanket

The front desk experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Completely unorganized when extending the reservation. The front desk clerk , Eddie, was rude and dismissive when I asked politely to wait until the morning to address a billing concern that wasn’t brought to my attention until 10:20pm.
Eddie who made the 10:20 call acted like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying guest. There was zero professionalism or courtesy — no apology, just attitude.
A hotel’s front desk sets the tone, I will not be returning and would strongly advise management to retrain Eddie on basic hospitality and customer service procedures when missteps occurred on the hotels end when extending a reservation.
