Amazing room and buffet meals, but pool bar service very disappointing
Pros:

The room was beautiful and the bed was one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. The buffet dinner was also one of the best I've ever had - absolutely delicious and nice atmosphere in the restaurant. The door and reception staff were very friendly.

Cons:

I felt very ignored at the pool bar at lunchtime - no one brought me a menu even though the place was quite empty and no one came to take my plate away or bring me my bill. I had to go up and ask for both which didn't feel like 5* service, and the Greek salad I had was disappointing. Similarly, I was surprised no one came to offer me drinks when I was lying by the pool - especially as there were only about 5 guests sunbathing when I arrived.

Super high tea experience !

Good Experience
Pros:

I went there with my partner for my birthday, She made the reservation. Mr Dilan and Nethmini helped us to feel comfortable and even arranged me a nice cake for my birthday. Tasty food and good service.

Decent but not 5 star service
Pros:

I liked that it was close proximity to a mall

Cons:

The staff were soo slow. This definitely wasn’t a 5 star service hotel. We would ask for water and receive it 30 mins later. I asked for soap which I never received.
The in-house food always came freezing cold.

Outstanding stay
Pros:

Had a wonderful stay at Cinamon grand colombo. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the food was excellent and had a great variety and especially the staff was very courteous and professional and ensured that we were taken care of from start to finish. It really made the experience a memorable one. Highly recommend for anyone looking for genuine hospitality in colombo

Chef Samitha made our stay
Pros:

We ate in plates having flown in that day with 3 tired children from the UK.
The food quality and variety were exceptional but chef Samitha went above and beyond. My children were given chef hats and even a tour of the kitchen as my 8 year old wants to be a chef!! Incredible! Thank you Chef Samitha
