Lovely historic grandeur. The staff treat you like royalty, and are so friendly. A sanctuary from the chaos of Delhi
The in-house restaurant is a bit pricey for Delhi, but that's to be expected.
AMAZING !
My Sister and I stayed two nights at the beautiful Maidens hotel in mid/late March 2026. This colonial-era gem is an absolutely fantastic hotel to base yourself in whilst in Delhi. A veritable Oasis of calm amongst the chaos.
The Staff: The employees are some of the best I have ever encountered in my travels. The ladies at reception, our amazing housekeeper Sohan, the fantastic barman at the Cavalry and the servers and chefs at the Curzon restaurant and breakfast room. These people are a credit to the hotel and cannot be praised highly enough. It was my Sister’s birthday and they arranged for balloons and cake as a surprise in her room at no extra cost! They allowed us into the rooms very early which we neither expected nor asked for. I am sure they moved a lot about to make that happen, so exceptional customer service.
The Food/Bar: We ate at the hotel’s Curzon restaurant one night and it was absolutely delicious. I had the Gohst Lamb and my Sister had the Paneer curry. The garlic naan was the best I have ever eaten. Portions were large. Great service and a decent price. Breakfast was varied and fresh. We had tea, biscuits & cocktails in the bar and that was great too.
Rooms: We opted for the ‘Heritage’ Rooms. My room (107) was on the ground floor in the old colonial wing. It was absolutely massive (it was the one pictured on Booking.com). It was well furnished, had a dressing room and a palatial bathroom. As an old converted building it did of course have quirks (a footstool up to the bath - a charming 19th century Victorian throwback), which was to be expected. My Sister’s room (106) was connected to mine via a very handy set of interconnected doors (which we had unlocked) and although it was a good deal smaller than mine, it was still well-appointed. The showers were powerful, water was hot and the rooms clean and the A/Cs worked.
Nothing at all. This hotel is amazing.
Sehr besonderer Service!
Excellent hotel. The room was spacious, very clean, and well furnished. Great staff. The swimming pool area was excellent too.
The hotel was also within 200m of the Civil Lines metro station which made trips into Central Delhi very easy.
Nothing serious. The prices at the hotel bar were a little higher than at other hotels we stayed at.
Excellent service and atmosphere.
Nothing
Exceptional service and attention to our party. Nothing was too much bother. Really lovely hotel experience.
Everything was excellent.
Oasis in busy Delhi
Swimming pool
The staff were really helpful and considerate
The location was good for the old town but some distance from the new town and airport
Decor was a bit tired
Excellent staff! They were highly professional, courteous, and very accommodating to my requests. Special appreciation goes to the young lady at the reception (Deeksha) and the two ladies in The Curzon Room (Ankita and Savina). The dinner was superb!
Magnifique bâtiment chargé d’histoire et conservé dans un oasis de verdure
La salle de sport (avec 90% des machines en panne et/ou anciennes), la qualité de la literie, la salle de bain mal restaurée
The Victorian architecture is stunning—we were totally impressed with the chandeliers, that vintage wooden lift, and the old-school doors.
We booked a suite, and it was a total hit with our kid. He couldn't believe we had two of everything (2 TVs, 2 beds... basically double the fun). Huge shoutout to the concierge for making our travel and sightseeing so easy and fun with a wonderful guide, and the food at Garden Terrace was honestly mouth-watering. Easily one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at!
