Everything!
Everything was great! Maybe more bartenders on gameday weekends but it wasn’t too bad!
Great trial to walk on
The location was good, the surrounding area was beautiful
It was the worst value out of any Four Seasons Ive ever stayed at. The room was mediocre, the view was crossed by high powered electric cables in your face, the service at the breakfast was deplorable, not even a chair to sit on the terrace.
Location, friendly staff
Beautiful location and wonderful staff. Always a please staying at the Four Seasons properties.
Love this hotel! Have stayed numerous times for work trips and for leisure. Service is impeccable and the location is perfect. Rooms have been recently renovated and are very nice. The only thing that is somewhat subpar is the pool - it’s still great but not as nice as it could be especially when compared to so many other new hotels in downtown Austin. But the location and service help compensate for that!
We came into town to visit friends who recently moved to Austin, we looked and liked the location of the Four Seasons, so made that our base. It was a great choice. The hotel is within easy walking distance to hip restaurants, breakfast places, and sixth street with all the live music. But if you decide you want to have a different kind of day, the hotel also sits on a lake where there are paddle boarders and kayaks galore, areas to lounge in hammocks or big chairs, a saltwater pool, and a big “backyard” space with rocking chairs. We took advantage of all it, and it was great. We went to sixth street to see music, but there was also live music in the lobby bar so there was something for every mood you may be in. The service was all terrific as one would expect, the rooms were comfortable (we had a king overlooking the lake connected to our kids room also overlooking the lake). Housekeeping was impeccable and we had zero complaints about the rooms or the hotel itself. It’s really a great option for a discerning traveller who finds themselves in Austin. We now find ourselves coming up with a new reason to come back. Great hotel. Highly recommend.
Fantastic overnight to celebrate our anniversary. Upgrade, champagne and help with difficult to get dinner reservations. Can’t say enough good things! Great location!
The hotel itself was gorgeous and the staff was extra friendly and helpful. The lake view rooms were nice with cozy beds. The welcome fruit and chocolates were a sweet little welcome gift. The amenities were great and had a big 24 hour gym. room service had a pretty big selection and onsite restaurant was excellent especially if you wanted to dress up but not leave the property. The lobby bar was packed and loud which was fun to mingle. I’m surprised there was no walk way or stairs down to the riverfront from the hotel. You had to walk around 2 blocks to the public stairway or cut through the gym and walk on the grass down the hill, which for us, it stormed bad and we were stuck trying to walk up the grass trying not to slip lol.
We cannot thank the Four Seasons Austin enough for their incredible hospitality during an unexpected detour from Dallas to Austin with our two babies under 2. Arriving at 1am, we were blown away to find our room perfectly prepared with two cribs, baby supplies, diapers, wipes, and our room service order waiting at the table. The staff’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail turned a stressful situation into the best possible reset before heading home the next day.
The food at the resort was phenomenal, and the staff, especially Toom from room service, went above and beyond with kindness and professionalism, making everything seamless. We had no plans to visit Austin, but thanks to this exceptional experience, we’re already looking forward to returning just to stay at the Four Seasons. Truly a 5-star experience!
Position was amazing
Services were too expensive and poor value for money
Just me and Justin this time… and yes, the vibe was immaculate.
The Four Seasons Austin somehow captures Texas charm and international elegance in the same breath. We stayed in a balcony room with a perfect view of Lady Bird Lake, popped a bottle (from the champagne vending machine, thank you very much), and toasted to doing life our way.
Dinner before Justin’s Mimiclou show was at Ciclo… their in-house restaurant… and it did not disappoint.
The tableside steak? Say less.
Sophisticated without being stiff. Thoughtful service without hovering. It’s sort of perfect.
Walkability is 10/10. It’s close to live music (including where Mimiclou was playing), the lake trail, and Garbo’s (which we hit for lobster rolls the next day). Bonus points for way it smells and great cocktails.
This is our Austin staycation spot. No notes.
Great hotel
The location on the river is terrific and provides easy access to trails along the river and to downtown Austin. The staff is well trained , polite and helpful. Prices of rooms, food and parking seem high in relation to other first rate hotels in Austin.
Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and very attentive. Our room was clean and cleaning service was great.
Another incredible experience with the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, TX. Their staff is top notch! Henry S Hotel Manager goes above and beyond to ensure our stay is not only comfortable but pleasurable, thank you Henry you are a gem! The gentleman who greets us at the lobby, I missed his name (I will remember on our next stay, I am sorry), he is always outfront to greet you and his peppy attitude and desire to make your stay exeptional is such a delight each time he greets us at the car. What an asset he is to the Four Seasons. He makes my morning every time I interact with him! He is levels above in Customer Excellence! Absolutely enjoy our stay every time we book a stay and December is definitely the month to experience this extravagant and top notch hotel. Our rooms were impeccable and the service is top of the line regardless of who you are interacting with here. Thank you Four Seasons!
The hotel is fine, but I found a charge for about US$1100.00 I did not recognize. I emailed their reservation office twice. No response. After a month, I called and sorted out the charge was not mine and they say they would refund. They did not apologize for not replying to my billing queries. Nor did they even include a gift certificate for a complimentary glass of wine or similar. Nothing. I work in tourism and know we would have replied as soon as we received the email and refunded asap. The Four Seasons failed. I just went on another trip and did not book any Four Season options and was pleased with that I did book. All I wanted for for this organization that charges so much for their rooms, to reply to a client query about an incorrect charge.
We have stayed at the Four Seasons in Austin a few times previously. We visited this time to have Xmas day lunch. Food was good, although some of the options were a bit tasteless. Limited drink options (and no longer included within the price). The biggest drawback was the service. For a 5 star hotel, I always considered the FS to have exceptional service but this was certainly not the case on Xmas day. Appreciate the restaurant was busy but having to ask numerous times for drinks and coffee (and cutlery at one point) I would say is not a great look.
On arrival the room smelled like a sewage spill or moldy. The special guest amenity was a couple of cheap sugar cookies. Generic unrecognizable coffee pods with no explanation of what they were. No refrigerator in the room. There is no bar soap in the room. Minimal amenities in bathrooms (no mouthwash or other luxury goods). No car service except on the weekends. The toilet ran unless you jiggled the handle. All this for $1800+ per night. "Would you like an upgrade? OK, that will be $1500-3500 more a night?" Really? I really regret my stay. Talked to management and they were interested in their problems, but offered nothing to compensate for the bad experience.
