Noise from the corridor and other rooms, especially doors closing loudly
Staff were friendly, room was very clean
We were in the motor in - very noisy at night due to being in a room which had hallway air conditioner on all night and it was very noisy. When we stayed once before we were in a water view room which was quiet.

The room was perfect for our one night stay. And staff at reception were absolutely lovely! Made checking in and out a breeze.
The bathroom was dated and quite small. Could use some extra love.
Views of Mt Wellington and the harbour from our respective rooms were really good.

We stayed for 5 nights. We initially booked for 3 nights. When we asked for extra nights, reception told us they were booked out. So we went online and managed to book those 2 extra nights! But we had to check out each day with our bags and check in again that afternoon. It was not a big deal as the hotel looked after our bags and delivered them to our new room.
I do feel that the hotel could have been a little better organized in their allocation of our rooms, since we were staying so long.
We stayed in 3 different rooms and every one was nice and clean except for the extractor fans in every bathroom, which were covered in dust. So I do believe that either all the cleaning staff are very short or the fans are not included in their checklist.
We had to pay extra to stay on the Friday and Saturday nights and the room in the “ Waters Edge” part of the building was minus a few of the luxuries that were in the other rooms. Eg. two pillows each, slippers, robes, vanity kit, body lotion, biscuits and mini bar.
We still enjoyed ourselves without these items but they do make a difference to your overall experience and impression of the hotel standard.
Updates are lovely, super comfy bed, lovely view of the river. Quiet location.

Amazing views! Blackout curtains. One of my favourite restaurants I’ve ever been to at the top
The bell boy was off or on lunch and I had to get my own bags from the car and to the room. The receptionist did offer to help but I felt too bad to ask her so I insisted to do it myself

Didn't like the fact that there was 3 levels of accommodation on site & because we booked with Booking.com we weren't told & given a option to what level we wanted.ver
The meat from the carvery for the roast in the boardwalk restaurant was amazing as was the vegetables
