Zentrale Lage, saubere gepflegte Zimmer

Cons:

Räume total überheizt. Frühstücksbuffet sehr übersichtlich, keine Brötchen. Parkhaus mit 50 Franken pro Nacht viel zu teuer.

Functional business hotel with smelly bathroom leak and friction with payments.
Pros:

Great welcome from Sven at the front desk. Friendly, welcoming, gave us our Basel Card and told us how to get around and see the sights of this lovely city.

Cons:

There was a leak out of the floor in the bathroom that smelled of sewage. We called for help and were given towels to mop it up. There was an issue with charges at the check out. Without telling us, they added an "incremental hold" of approx 100 CHF on our credit card when we paid the 20 CHF city/tourist tax. We had to e-mail them over several days to ask what was going on. Unnecessary friction I have not had at any other hotel.

2 star hotel for the price of a 5 star
Pros:

Location was perfect for art basel

Cons:

Bedroom is very bad, cleaning service was horrible they wouldn’t remove dirty glasses or towels on the floor. Minibar was extremely poor and never replaced.
Bathroom has no windows or good ventilation so it is always extremely humid.
The hotel is very very expensive for what it is
It feels like a 2 star hotel for the price of a 5 star hotel
