Perfect
Pros:

Convenient location. Receptions so helpful - gave us an adapted when we didn’t have the right ones for the room and was kind enough to let us borrow umbrellas on a very rainy day. It’s directly opposite multiple tram stops which made getting around Basel very quick and easy. Rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The bar was a nice place to relax with a drink. One of the smoke alarms in the rooms were triggered causing an evacuation to the lobby, the staff very kindly gave everyone free drinks which was a nice touch. Would stay again.

Cons:

The view from our room was poor but we didn’t mind and wasn’t expecting anything special.

Ausserordentlich freundlicher Empfang, schöne moderne Einrichtung, Nespresso Maschine im Zimmer

Cons:

Keine Parkplätze, aber das Messeparkhaus ist sehr nah nur SEHR teuer, Fr 50 pro 24 Stunden

Defekte Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer wurde sofort ausgwechselt.

Excellent Stay
Pros:

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at your hotel for a week and truly enjoyed every moment. What made our stay especially memorable was the exceptional staff—from reception to housekeeping to the breakfast service—everyone was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive. Every request we made was handled promptly and efficiently, always with a smile.

Eigentlich gut - jetzt außerordentlich schlecht.

Ich war bereits mehrmals dort - Lage und eigentlich die Ausstattung

Cons:

Diesmal: Sehr unangenehmer Gestank im Zimmer resp. Bad nach Fäkalien (Abflussrohre); technischer Dienst konnte das Problem nicht beseitigen; kein Zimmerwechsel möglich; Wasserdruck in Dusche und Lavabo außerordentlich gering (5Stock), man hatte Glück, überhaupt am Morgen duschen zu können.

THIS EXECUTIVE SUITE MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE ROYALTY…!!!
Pros:

At 700’, you will find yourself wandering through this suite: an enormous living room/adjacent coffee bar kitchen area, including a half-guest bathroom with toilet and sink… and then on through a middle room with a banquette that seats 5, along with a long office desk and chair… finally into the a massive bedroom with a true King bed, windows that open for a breeze, giant TV… right beside a bathroom with separate shower and tub. Wait, did we just say “tub”…? Oh no, this is a small swimming pool pretending to be a bath tub. It is literally big enough for 2 people shoulder-to-shoulder to recline in watery bliss. It feels so, so good you won’t want to leave. And then there is the fitness room, complete with free weights, benches, stretching mats, machines, dressing/shower rooms as well as a co-ed sauna. Bonvoy members will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the Executive Lounge, with beverages all day and an evening reception. Also on the Lobby floor is the exquisite restaurant, where if you can name a food — you will find it here. Servers abound so whatever you need, it’s a simple “ask” away. And then there is the Basel Card, which gets you around on the trams for free and into some venues for a nice discount. The excellent hospitality that Marriott is famous for began for us way, way back in August when we started a dialogue with lovely Front Office Manager Rajae, who not only helped us find the most perfect room for our needs, but she even came to greet us on checking in. So also did the very personable GM Angela, who found us at breakfast to make certain we were happy. Happy? For three days and nights, we were in absolute travel heaven. Thank you, Rajae and Angela!
