Paid on Booking.com. When I went to the hotel, they said Booking.com had not paid them and made me pay again.
The valet was very responsive and personable.
Rooms were not available for check-in at 4:00 the day of check-in. There was only one person at the front desk (Angel) and the check-in line was 15 people deep. Angel did an excellent job of trying to keep people calm since many of the rooms had not yet been turned over, Noah came to the front desk and assisted with check-ins a few minutes after 4:00. Noah provided first class customer service and did his best to accomodate me since rooms were not available, He was helpful and courteous and did follow-up with me that evening twice after check-in. He and Angel are as asset to that hotel which is always problematic including being short staffed and rooms not be turned over or cleaned properly. I was out of conditioner and was told it would be refilled and then was not given clean towels after they cleaned my room. I have been in Hiltons throughout the world and this one is truly the most poorly run hotel.
My son and I enjoyed our stay Downtown at the DoubleTree Hotel. The guest services team (front desk) and the restaurant staff were the real highlights of our stay! My son has asthma, and since we didn't have his inhaler, I know that a hot cup of tea (preferably peppermint) tends to help him out drastically. The lovely people in the restaurant, both in the morning and evening, during our two-day stay, helped me with a nice hot cup of water, tea packets & sugar. They didn't hesitate at all when I inquired about it. What a lifesaver! Miss Gloria at the front desk is an Angel! So sweet, helpful, and attentive. Also, the Housekeeping Supervisor (a gentleman), whose name I didn't get, was very informative and friendly! We did order dinner from the restaurant, but we weren't too pleased with the food. The sauce used for the hot wings tasted artificial, and the color didn't make it any better. The best part was the super-tasty chocolate cake! The complimentary Happy Hour was exceptional! Serving fine cheeses, crackers, jam, fruit, and mixed drinks. Our room was very nice, clean, and neat! The shower, on the other hand, had very low water pressure, and the wall/ceiling was bubbling, showing the hotel's age and possibly poor ventilation, as the vent does not work. The pool area was Beautiful, and the overall hotel decor is Exquisite! All in all, I would definitely stay here again! Keep up the good work Everyone!!
Location. Downtown and close to the stadium.
It’s an older hotel and could definitely use some updates especially for the price
This hotel is the worse. GM Dewan Kasem should be ashamed of himself the way he runs this place. It’s disgusting inside. BEWARE DEWAN KASEM WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY WHEN BUSINESS IS DOWN BY SAYING THAY YOU SMOKE IN ROOMS and charging you a fee after you leave. He says he has found proof - after you leave but never sends pictures! I guess the hotel is so old you probably could smoke in rooms and not get caught as the smoke detectors probably haven’t worked since Regan was in office. Staff will tell you this is a common scam he runs on many people. So beware!! It’s unfortunate that good honest people always have to suffer at the hands of greedy corporations.
This hotel is dated and needs a refresher in the biggest way. The system was down when we arrived. Waited 20 minutes to get checked in. Stayed in corner room on 14th floor. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was dated and needed attending. The toilet rocked the soaps did not stick to the wall and were on the floor of the tub.
The windows were filthy and the room overlooked a tall office building, so view was limited and disappointing.
The General Manager was very accommodating! The staff upfront and in the breakfast room very accommodating!
Just arrived to the room and the houseman knocking on my door trying to get me and my neighbors linens. Sounds like no communication in housekeeping department!
My friend and I came to Tallahassee to visit family. We stayed Friday night 3-6-26 and Saturday night night 3-7-26.
I sure wish I had read the reviews before booking. But this was a HILTON property and I’ve never had a problem before at a Hilton property, until now. Everything went well until Saturday night. My friend had just finished showering and turned off the shower off when she let go of the hand bar to step out of the shower she slipped on the shower floor and fell. I observed the slippery shower floor also when I had showered earlier that night. This scared us so bad! My friend has had a hip replacement on both hips, a knee replacement and neck surgery. I was able to help her get up, get dressed and make it to the bed. Miraculously she did not break anything on herself. Immediately after making sure she was safe in the bed I went to the front desk to report it. I spoke to Logan, HK supervisor (what his name tag said) at 10:35 pm. He was typing as I was telling him what happened and assumed he was typing what I was saying. I also told Logan that they really need to something about the slick shower floor. He told me that management would see the message Sunday morning and someone from management would call me.
It is now late Tuesday night 3-10-26 and I have not heard from anyone yet. I expected a call no later than Sunday 3-8-26.
I am very disappointed and concerned for other guests that decide to stay at this hotel.
I will NEVER be back here.
I was looking forward to this visit but was slightly disappointed. There really isn’t much to see outside of the State House and colleges. It was hard to find things to do without a car. The hotel is old but suitable. A nice park across the street. Not many restaurants to choose from. If you go, try The Wishing you a Healthy, Happy, Joyful and Prosperous New Year. Hayward and Il Lussa.
After driving 10 hours from NC, my family and I arrived at the hotel praying that our rooms were available early. We were extremely tired and all needed to be refreshed to start the day. In town for a special celebration for my niece, who is a college student, we really needed to unwind and get comfortable so we could be ready for the day. Sending up a prayer, I called the hotel and got Noah on the phone. He was nice and pleasant despite it being a very busy weekend (sold out) for them. Explained our sitiuation and he was able to accomodate our request for an early check-in. Upon arrival, Noah and the other front desk staff were as friendly and accomodating as he was on the phone. The lobby was swamped with people but our check-in was a breeze. This was my first trip to Tallahassee and when I come back next year for my niece's graduation, my family and I will book at this location. Beautiful property and nice clean rooms!
Upon arrival, we discovered the pre-paid self-parking we paid for was no longer available; valet only. We checked in at 5:45 and were informed our queen room was not ready but would be about 10 minutes. After about 15 minutes we explained we were in town for a concert and needed to get ready. The woman at the front desk did unlock an empty ballroom for me to change in; after which we were suddenly approved for an upgrade to a king room. Honestly, we should have been offered that in the first place and shouldn't have been made to wait. It felt like a shakedown to get us to pay for the upgrade. We finally got into our room around 6:30. The room was worn in places (desk chair was mangled; chips in the shower) but you're paying for the location of the hotel and I'm used to some wear and tear in these types of hotels. Overall the appearance was acceptable. The hotel did give us vouchers for the buffet breakfast but we weren't interested in that so they comped our valet instead, which we appreciated. Not sure if I'd stay here again; I would compare with other hotels in the area.
lobby decorations. angel at check was exceptionally cool under the immense pressure of a sold out hotel hosting a raucous wedding
booking.com said check in was 3p. location said 4p. my room was not ready until well past 7p and I had to call the hotel to even find out. unacceptable. i did not like the lack of self serve food and drink choices. 9th floor next door neighbor let their kids scream and beat the walls and as a result my party of 4 could not sleep past 6:30 am ( 5:30 am our time)
