The adjacent park with pond and wildlife was best part. Property clean, staff friendly and attentive. Laundry room was a plus.
The room was too close to pool area leaving me no privacy plus the pool area noisy. Music was left on all night my first night. Conference rooms too close to guest rooms. Must pay for parking
Clean, good location
Nothing
Toilet did not flush. no maid service in 3 days. no response from staff
Overall hotel was nice very fancy
Im not sure if my stay was bad due to there being a baseball team there or due to the lack of staff caring about what their guest are doing. But the baseball team was loud and obnoxiously taking up the whole dining area (I understand its a comunal area) their children were running rampant with no adult supervision, playing ball inside they hit me and my family multiple times and parents never addressed it but staff didn't come to address the loud noises either. We also ordered food and our food took almost an hour to be severed to us and it wasn't even hot lukewarm at best, but we were hungry after being on the road for 5 hours, so we just ate our food, but it was a very uncomfortable situation the whole time. If you do stay here just dont eat there go out or order delivery.
Good location
TV cable service was unreliable with 20 - 30 minute periods of no reception/picture on any channel. We had 2 rooms for 2 nights and both had the same problem. Reported to the front desk and it was never resolved.
The location was very convenient and quite
The parking lot is in desperate need of resurfacing, and my room had a moldy smell each time you turned on the air conditioning until. The smell was awful.
Didn't have breakfast
Wear and tear visible in room. Food from kitchen not that good.
I have been a Marriott Platinum Elite member for over 25 years and have always been loyal to the brand. For a recent event in Escondido, I chose this Courtyard (7 miles away) and booked it using my points.
We checked in around 6pm and were greeted warmly by the front desk staff. We dropped our bags and headed to our event. Upon returning around midnight, the issues began.
The toilet would not flush unless the handle was held down the entire time. There were only about four tissues left in the dispenser with no replacement. When we turned down the bed, we found three regular pillows and one very small square pillow stuffed into a king-size pillowcase. The mattress was severely concave — it was obvious this bed should have been replaced years ago. We spent a miserable night trying to sleep in a sagging bed.
In the morning, sunlight poured through multiple holes in the blackout curtains. (If we had been on the first floor, this would have been a legitimate safety concern.) The shower dispenser had zero conditioner. The TV remote did not work, so I couldn’t even watch the news while getting ready.
At checkout around 10am, I politely informed the front desk staff of all these issues and specifically asked to speak with the manager, Ian A. The associate was very nice and assured me that Ian would call me before noon. That call never came.
The hotel is located in a beautiful, affluent part of the San Diego suburbs, which made the poor room condition even more disappointing. As a long-time Platinum Elite member, I expect far better than this, especially when paying with hard-earned points. This experience fell well below Marriott standards.
The property is beautiful!
Nothing- everything is perfect.
Staff were friendly.
Room AC didn’t work we were given a fan. Bathroom sink water pressure was very low to none.
