Decent bar & restaurant.
Under construction! Noisy and dirty .
With the updates to the rooms, it looks like a whole new hotel!
I live locally and wanted a staycation and this is absolutely perfect - I haven't even checked out yet and have extended my stay and I'm already planning to do this again! A lot of the negative reviews here are based on the old decor, but the refinished rooms now look modern and clean, yet still comfortable and almost spa-like. I love the blues and soft greys, and the furniture has nice lines but also highly functional. And the tech updates are great - usb and usb-c built in chargers on the bedside tables were especially useful!
There were a couple hiccups initially with the room and my reservation (not the fault of staff) which could have easily been a nightmare at some properties - I use a wheelchair and have limited mobility so need a certain room layout. But staff absolutely went above and beyond to problem solve for me, even shifting some furniture so that I could more easily navigate the space. The day and evening managers Christine and Jessica both checked in repeatedly to make sure everything went well, and the rest of the front desk team always have a smile and offer to help with anything I could need.
It's my first time trying the concierge level and I highly recommend it - the included food is excellent (several times I ate there instead of going down to the restaurant, the fajitas were delicious!) and the staff, especially Michelle, took amazing care of me. Also the views from up there are gorgeous, especially at sunset!
The site restaurant was also great, my husband and I might come by just for more of the pulled pork and sweet potato fries, and the french toast at breakfast was delicious!
All in all, absolutely great stay and will certainly return again!
We liked the easy location, the beds were comfortable, but the attitude was awful! The concierge lounge was closed all week end, they only gave us 2 vouchers for the 2 rooms we had booked, and we are platinum plus members, we always get 2 vouchers per room, we mentioned it, they said they never heard of that! We asked for water in our room, they said they were going green, we needed to use water from the ice machine which looked not too clean to me! They are doing renovations so on both Saturday and Sunday at 7am we were woken up by Jack hammers! They did not care at all, gave us zero compensation for making us miserable! The front desk manager was a total wet noodle, not caring human being, a disgrace to being in the hospitality business, the only one that cared, understood or showed empathy was Patrick, who should be the manager! Never again will we stay at this property, and we intend to reach out to Marriott Headquarters to let them know about this!!! Thanks for giving us a miserable week end!!!
The location was nice and the staff were super friendly but that was basically the only good thing about the hotel.
Wasn't informed ahead of time of the renovations they were having done. walked into the hotel lobby to check in to loud nonstop banging that I was told would stop at 5pm (friday), but what they failed to mention was that it was going to continue all weekend and we would hear it in our room as well. Renovations started as early as 6am both weekend days. Monday (the day we checked out), they shut off the water starting at 10am as well and only informed us by sliding a piece of paper under our door Sunday evening.
The staff was amazing! They were friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was amazing! My group and I were very pleased with our stay.
The sofa couch was a bit uncomfortable.
Didn’t eat there
Nothing
It was convenient and close to Salem
it was good. so nice having the restaurant right in the hotel . Made it so convenient.
pool area should be updated. but, I heard they will be doing an update to everything next year
It turned out to be a very good location and easy to access the highway and stores
The pool was cold and sad. I thought that there was a breakfast included but it wasn’t. The restaurant was very good.
Being able to have drinks and eat there.
Typical Marriott property, clean, well-run, comfortable. Far enough away from Salem to avoid the crowds of crazies.
