Didn’t accept cash
The staff were friendly and welcoming. Went out their way to help us when we needed it. The room was ideal also
The pool down for maintenance for the full week, wasn’t the staffs fault but wasn’t good for us to have somewhere to chill out at . The location wasnt the best due to not being able to go out of the hotel and walk, we had to get an uber everywhere we went
I am a Marriott member, yet I had to pay for internet. Was this a mistake?
Nice location and outdoor amenities
If there was ever a hotel that does not deserve your money, it is this one. I should’ve known that something was deeply wrong with this place when the first thing that I touched in the room (the curtain rod) broke as soon as I laid my hand on it. It was also extremely overpriced. But that is only the start of it.
I was staying at this hotel for my friend’s wedding. They had arranged with the hotel to keep the bar open late, until 1:30, for the after party. Shortly after we arrived back at the hotel after the wedding, at 11:45 the hotel announce last call. They went back on their word and ruined my friend’s after party and wedding night. The bride and groom spent some of the final hours of the big day pleading and arguing with the hotel staff to honor the arrangements they had made. The incompetence and indifference on the part of Marriott and its staff was absolutely disgusting.
IF YOU ARE PLANNING A WEDDING, DO NOT CHOOSE THIS HOTEL.
If I could give this worthless place a zero star review, I would.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel for a wedding or special event to look elsewhere.
I stayed here for a friend's wedding, and the experience was awful from the moment I checked into my room. Upon arrival, the window shades were broken, and the window itself was wide open with no screen. Not exactly the first impression you'd expect from a hotel that's supposed to be hosting wedding guests.
Unfortunately, things only got worse. The hotel completely ruined the wedding after-party. The bride and groom had been explicitly promised that the hotel bar would remain open until 1:30 AM so guests could continue celebrating. Instead, the bar shut down early, leaving guests scrambling and putting a damper on what should have been one of the happiest nights of their lives. For a hotel that markets itself as a wedding venue, failing to honor commitments made to the wedding couple is unacceptable.
To make matters worse, nearly every staff member we encountered was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Simple questions were treated like inconveniences, and there seemed to be no concern whatsoever for guest satisfaction.
Between the poorly maintained rooms, broken promises, and terrible customer service, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. If you're planning a wedding, do yourself a favor and find a venue that actually cares about its guests and follows through on its commitments.
Friendly staff… cleanliness
The prices for the location
Very clean, front desk was polite and we were able to get an early check in. If that was not available we would have checked in at 8:00pm
The elevator noise with our room so close to it
Free hot breakfast.
Nothing
Loved the pool. Guessing it’s salt water. Showers were great. Big cozy bed! Ty
The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, made the stay very nice🙏
There was an overcharge on the room, but that was not on the facility that was on Booking.com.
This review is overdue, but our stay at the Marriott Peabody was truly excellent. The recent renovation is extremely well done—modern, durable, and clearly designed with the guest experience in mind.
The highlight is the Concierge Lounge, which is one of the best I’ve seen across Marriott properties. Its top-floor location creates a premium feel, and the staff and food/service are exceptional—approaching a JW Marriott level experience. This property gets it right.
Rooms are stylish and functional, with thoughtful touches like dual TVs, smart storage solutions, and plenty of accessible power outlets. The bathroom is clean, efficient, and well designed, with a great shower and strong ventilation.
Overall, this is one of the most well-executed Marriott renovations I’ve experienced.
Decent bar & restaurant.
Under construction! Noisy and dirty .
With the updates to the rooms, it looks like a whole new hotel!
I live locally and wanted a staycation and this is absolutely perfect - I haven't even checked out yet and have extended my stay and I'm already planning to do this again! A lot of the negative reviews here are based on the old decor, but the refinished rooms now look modern and clean, yet still comfortable and almost spa-like. I love the blues and soft greys, and the furniture has nice lines but also highly functional. And the tech updates are great - usb and usb-c built in chargers on the bedside tables were especially useful!
There were a couple hiccups initially with the room and my reservation (not the fault of staff) which could have easily been a nightmare at some properties - I use a wheelchair and have limited mobility so need a certain room layout. But staff absolutely went above and beyond to problem solve for me, even shifting some furniture so that I could more easily navigate the space. The day and evening managers Christine and Jessica both checked in repeatedly to make sure everything went well, and the rest of the front desk team always have a smile and offer to help with anything I could need.
It's my first time trying the concierge level and I highly recommend it - the included food is excellent (several times I ate there instead of going down to the restaurant, the fajitas were delicious!) and the staff, especially Michelle, took amazing care of me. Also the views from up there are gorgeous, especially at sunset!
The site restaurant was also great, my husband and I might come by just for more of the pulled pork and sweet potato fries, and the french toast at breakfast was delicious!
All in all, absolutely great stay and will certainly return again!
