Location is wonderful for exploring the downs and surrounding area
Very few disabled facilities.
Have to take my own shower stool as none available.
I'm only moderalty disabled so I can manage a few steps to get to the downstairs rooms but cannot stand for long to shower
We did not take breakfast but we ate dinner both nights
I would have appreciated dressing gowns in the room/ bathroom and some body cream
Simply fantastic, felt like a much more expensive hotel, staff friendly and professional, can't rate my stay highly enough!
Leaving!
The coffee and orange juice was exceptional
Nothing!!
The exceptional Service compliments a very good property and flexible dinner service.
Location was chosen to be near friends we were visiting. Enjoyed visiting the garden. Very quiet location. Nicely decorated bedroom and well equipped shower room.
Breakfast was a little chaotic with ordering and service but food was good.
We had asked for non feather pillows and unfortunately didn’t realise until late at night that only 3 of 4 were synthetic. We managed by using a cushion.
Our rooms were lovely, with very comfortable beds.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and were happy to accommodate all our needs.
The food was excellent. We mostly ate in the bar restaurant, but also enjoyed a more formal family dinner in the private dining room upstairs. They also serve a delicious breakfast.
The lovely Highdown Gardens next door were an added bonus and perfect for a relaxing stroll.

Fabulous location
Nothing
Rooms are modern and well presented. Staff are friendly.
Rooms not very well insulated. I could hear someone snoring from across the hall.
Peaceful, well kept, nice decor, easy parking
In a beautiful setting which is very peaceful. Great facilities and wonderful staff
Nothing not to like!!
Decor was less throw in some mismatched furniture and slop some paint around, more someone designing interiors utilising quality materials. Location was great for travelling by train into Brighton and great for walking the South Downs. The buildings are historic and impressive and the nearby public gardens are beautiful.
I just wish they had more pubs with rooms more widely.
The location is marvellous - peaceful and with easy access to walks on the downs and visits to Highdown gardens.
