Our room was nice and roomy, 3 adults 2 kids, 2 queen beds and a sofa sleeper and the room was huge compared to other hotels. It was so nice. We had to ask for extra bedding for the sofa sleeper and the front desk staff brought it right to the room. They were so nice! Everything was really great.
We have stayed here several times over the years as it falls at the halfway point of our frequent cross country trips. We know that Sidney is just a wide spot in the road, and we truly only need a safe and clean spot to rest. This property meets that need.
We arrived around midnight after some trip delays. When we arrived the kind man at the front desk was unable to login to the computer system. There were several folks waiting in line to check in. Every time he rand a credit card it booted him out of the system and he had to call someone to help him. Do to tech issues, it took quite some time for him to work through the line. When we were finally given our room, we could tell that someone had already been in the room. The beds had been sat on and the bathroom had been used. He moved us to an upstairs room clear at the back of the hotel. However, we had issues with the lock and had to make multiple trips back to the front desk. We were exhausted and had 2 kids with us. It wasn't an ideal situation. There were doors open to many closer rooms that looked vacant, but we were told that those were left open because they were awaiting maintenance. It might be time for a property and systems refresh.
The first night there was absolutely no hot water.
The 2nd night was better.
They knew about the hot water heater by the 2nd night, but said they were working on it, but some rooms might need people to run the water for at least 20 minutes before it would warm up.
Ask for a first floor room near the main desk in order to get hot water. Also, there's no elevator.
The room was clean
The breakfast had nothing left at 8 am not even coffee or tea
Our stay at this hotel was the worst stay our whole trip. We walked into the room and everything was unplugged, the toilet paper rolls were sitting on the counter. The TV would not work. The decor and rug were old and stained. Semis fly through the parking lots also. Don't park you cars on the ends or corners of the building. Went down to the front desk and told them about it. By the time they came to the room. We were settled in. We found the counters and table was not cleaned. One of the chairs was broken. He fixed the tv and said he could move us but may not be any different. We stayed in the room, not sure how bad another room may be. We used very little items. Bed looked clean. Then in the morning there was no hot water. Breakfast was terrible and the coffee was cold. Food did not look appetizing. I went to the front desk in the morning and there was no manager on duty. She is suppose to call me. I am still waiting. Think twice about staying here.
Poorly staffed. Didn’t know what they were doing. Checking out couldn’t find our name. Had to write down our email address and name for them
on a piece of paper. No extra toilet paper or cups. Our room had been cleaned but other people checking in the rooms had not been cleaned. Doors were open with cleaning carts in the hallway at 6PM that had not been cleaned. Just poorly run and probably short staffed.
Location off of 80
The room was not clean and smelled when we arrived. Door lock was broken and you could see through to hallway. Comforter and sheets had stains. No body wash dispenser, shampoo dispenser was empty. Mold growing in shower, bad shower head. Sticky substance on bedstand. I had to wipe down all surfaces with a sanitizer wipe. Furniture was in bad shape. Breakfast area was a mess with no silverware, most food options were gone already. Security door supposed to be locked 24/7 but was not.
Cost
Air Conditioner did not work. Bath tub was dirty. The room was 80 degrees when we got into it.
The first room they gave me was dirty (unmade bed) and appeared to already be occupied - then the next room was not clean and was 85 F when I went in. I turned on the AC and it was not working. The two young guys at the desk seemed very confused and not able to handle the issue, and I did not feel comfortable staying at this location.
Very clean. Front desk guy was great!
Room I booked not what we got, no elevator, HOT room and a/c struggled to cool it down, and carpet has a loose hump the length of the room
Clean comfortable beds nice pillows. The manger was amazing and very helpful to myself and my wife. All staff were very friendly and helpful. would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to at a good price. Thank you, Tricia Gray, for going above and beyond for us.
Bed comfortable, room clean
The manager gave me a lower price, thank you
Where do I start: the first room #120 the shower water would not go down while showering, stains on the carpet, nasty smell when you walk in. You can tell they didn't vacuum I found a Dr. Pepper at the foot of the bed. Second room #120, stains again on the carpet, ants in the bathroom, trash under the sink. Both rooms, the sheets were wringled, it made you wonder if they were even replaced. The breakfast was cold, the waffle maker left little pieces of flaked burnt either metal or burnt waffle from a previous waffle on your waffle. No coffee cups, the coffee was like warm, no butter for your waffles. Overall just a nasty place. The side door didn't lock, bugs in the hallway. The pool was cold, couldn't swim too cold.
Upon arrival, we waited around 20-30 minutes for housekeeping staff to find the front counter attendant so we could check into our room. After arrival and getting checked in, every time we would leave our keys would get deactivated not allowing us back into our room. I understand maybe once or twice but this was every single time we were leaving. When approaching staff to see what the issue was we were met with “well no matter what, whether it’s in it’s own sleeve or not they will deactivate because you drive a remote start vehicle.” In any hotel we have stayed at we have never had an issue of keeping key cards separate from any phone, or other cards so to be treated and talked too as kids and told we are at fault because your system wasn’t working properly was very disappointing. Unfortunately will not be staying again in this location.
